ABSTRACT: The title compound, [Sb(4)(C(6)H(5))(8)O(4)(O(2))(2)]·2CHCl(3), contains a tetranuclear antimony(V) core, bridged by oxide and peroxide ligands. Two cores form centrosymmetric dimers by intermolecular C-H?O contacts. These dimeric units are further connected by chloro-form solvent mol-ecules involved in C-H?O and C-H?Cl inter-actions into strands along [010]. The five-membered Sb(2)O(3) rings in the Sb(4)O(8) core invariably adopt envelope conformations.

Pairs of the benzothia-zole rings attached to the same carbon atom are almost perpendicular to each other, with an angle between planes of 85.74 (4)°. In the crystal, weak C-H⋯N and C-H⋯Cl interactions generate a three-dimensional network.

Two O(2-) and two OH(-) anions bridge four Sn(IV) cations to form the tetra-nuclear compound. The two independent Sn(IV) cations assume SnO(3)C(2) and SnO(2)C(2)Cl distorted trigonal-bipyramidal coordination geometries. Intra-molecular O-H?Cl hydrogen bonding is present in the structure. One Cl atom of a chloro-benzyl ligand is disordered over two sites with an occupancy ratio of 0.693?(2):0.307?(2).

Project description:In the title compound, [Zn(C48H36N4O4)]·2CH2Cl2, the Zn(II) ion lies on an inversion center and is coordinated in an almost ideal square-planar geometry. The asymmetric unit also contains one di-chloro-methane solvent mol-ecule. The unique meth-oxy-substituted benzene rings form dihedral angles of 59.38 (6) and 66.77 (6)° with the mean plane (r.m.s. deviation of fitted atoms = 0.0282 Å) of the atoms in the porphyrin core. The packing is characterized by close contacts between the Zn(II) ion and two symmetry-related mol-ecules through the O atoms of a meth-oxy-phenyl group [Zn⋯O = 2.694 (2) Å], forming a two-dimensional network parallel to (100).

The complex mol-ecules are stacked parallel to [100], forming channels in which the solvent chloro-form mol-ecules are located. C-H?O hydrogen-bonding inter-actions between the complex mol-ecules and the solvent mol-ecules consolidate the crystal packing.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, [Sn(4)(C(7)H(6)Cl)(8)(C(8)H(7)O(2))(2)O(2)(OH)(2)], comprises one-half of the centrosymmetric tin(IV) complex. ?(3)-Oxide and ?(2)-hydroxide bridges link the four five-coordinate Sn(IV) atoms to generate three fused four-membered Sn-O-Sn-O rings in a ladder-like structure. The two endocyclic Sn atoms each bind to two ?(3)-oxide anions and a ?(2)-hydroxide ligand, together with two 2-chloro-benzyl groups. The exocyclic Sn atoms each carry a monodentate phenyl-acetate ligand, two 2-chloro-benzyl groups, and ?(3)-oxide and ?(2)-hydroxide ligands. Both types of Sn atoms adopt a distorted trigonal-bipyramidal coordination geometry. The mol-ecular conformation is stabilized by intra-molecular O-H?O inter-actions involving the ?(2)-hydroxide ligands and the C=O group of the phenyl-acetate ligand.

Project description:The title stannoxane is a toluene-solvated dimer, [Sn(4)(C(7)H(6)Cl)(8)Cl(2)O(2)(OH)(2)]·C(7)H(8), the tetra-nuclear mol-ecule lying across a center of inversion. The Sn(4)O(4) framework, whose two independent Sn atoms show trigonal bipyramidal coordination, is essentially planar (r.m.s deviation = 0.02 Å). One of the two chloro-benzyl groups of the chloridodiorganyltin unit is disordered over two positions with the chloro-phenyl residue refined over two positions in a 50:50 ratio. The solvent mol-ecule is disordered about a twofold axis.

Project description:The synthesis, crystal structure, and FT-IR data for the title compound, [Na2Mn4(C2H2ClO2)2(C7H4NO3)4(C3H7NO)6]·2C3H7NO or Na2(O2CCH2Cl)2[12-MCMn(III) N(shi)-4](DMF)6·2DMF, where MC is metallacrown, shi(3-) is salicyl-hydroximate, and DMF is N,N-di-methyl-formamide, is reported. The macrocyclic metallacrown consists of an -[Mn(III)-N-O]4- ring repeat unit and the metallacrown captures two Na(+) ions in the central cavity above and below the plane of the metallacrown. Each Na(+) ion is seven-coordinate and is bridged to two ring Mn(III) ions, through either a coordinating DMF mol-ecule or a chloro-acetate anion. The ring Mn(III) ions have either a tetra-gonally distorted octa-hedral geometry or a distorted square-pyramidal geometry. Weak C-H⋯O inter-actions, in addition to pure van der Waals forces, contribute to the overall packing of the mol-ecules. The complete molecule has inversion symmetry and is disordered over two sets of sites with an occupancy ratio of 0.8783 (7):0.1217 (7). The solvent molecule is also disordered over two sets of sites, with an occupancy ratio of 0.615 (5):0.385 (5).

Project description:In the title structure, [Ti2(C16H16N2O2)2O2]·2CHCl3, the Ti atom is coordinated in a distorted octa-hedral geometry by the O,N,N',O' donor set of the salalen ligand and by two μ2-oxide O atoms, which bridge two Ti(salalen) fragments into a centrosymmetric dimeric unit. In the central Ti2(μ2-O)2 fragment, the metal-oxygen distances are significantly different [1.7962 (19) and 1.9292 (19) Å]. In the crystal, the chloro-form mol-ecule is anchored via an N-H⋯Cl and a bifurcated C-H⋯(O,O) hydrogen bond. Slipped π-π stacking [shortest C⋯C distance = 3.585 (4) Å] and C-H⋯π inter-actions contribute to the coherence of the structure.

The cation contains a central nitro-gen atom bonded to four n-butyl groups in a tetra-hedral arrangement, while the anion contains a central MnII atom tetra-hedrally coordinated by four chlorido ligands. It co-crystallized with two equivalents of di-chloro-methane solvent, CH2Cl2, to give the following empirical formula: [(C4H9)4N]2[MnCl4]·(CH2Cl2)2. The crystal structure is mainly stabilized by Coulombic inter-actions.
