The five-membered ring of the mol-ecule is best described as a flattened envelope conformation with the methyl-ene C atom located 0.208 (2) Å below the plane formed by the other four atoms. A weak intermolecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bond is present in the crystal structure.

Project description:The title compound, C14H17NO4, features an epoxide-O atom fused to a pyrrolidyl ring, the latter having an envelope conformation with the N atom being the flap. The 4-meth-oxy-phenyl group is orthogonal to [dihedral angle = 85.02 (6)°] and lies to the opposite side of the five-membered ring to the epoxide O atom, while the N-bound ethyl ester group (r.m.s. deviation of the five fitted atoms = 0.0187 Å) is twisted with respect to the ring [dihedral angle = 17.23 (9)°]. The most prominent inter-actions in the crystal are of the type methine-C-H⋯O(carbon-yl) and these lead to the formation of linear supra-molecular chains along the c axis; weak benzene-C-H⋯O(epoxide) and methine-C-H⋯O(meth-oxy) inter-actions connect these into a three-dimensional architecture. The analysis of the Hirshfeld surface confirms the presence of C-H⋯O inter-actions in the crystal, but also the dominance of H⋯H dispersion contacts.

In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked via pairs of N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming inversion dimers. These dimers are linked via pairs of C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming chains along the a-axis direction.

2-Vinyl-pyridine-tris-(penta-fluoro-phen-yl)borane hexane monosolvate.

Project description:The title compound, C(7)H(7)N·B(C(6)F(5))(3)·C(6)H(14), was obtained by the stoichiometric reaction of 2-vinyl-pyridine and tris-(penta-fluoro-phen-yl)borane in toluene. The formed adduct exhibits a restricted rotation along the B-N bond resulting in an asymmetry, which can be also observed in the (19)F NMR spectra. The B-N distance is equivalent to the distances found for 2-methyl-pyridine and 2-ethyl-pyridine B(C(6)F(5))(3) adducts. For the final refinement, the contributions of disordered solvent mol-ecules were removed from the diffraction data with SQUEEZE in PLATON [van der Sluis & Spek (1990). Acta Cryst. Project description:The title compound, C10H12O8, a prospective raw material for colourless polyimides which are applied to electronic and microelectronic devices, lies about an inversion centre and the cyclo-hexane ring adopts a chair conformation. Two crystallographycally independent carb-oxy-lic acid groups on adjacent C atoms are in equatorial positions, resulting in a mutually trans conformation. In the crystal, O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds around an inversion centre and a threefold rotoinversion axis, respectively, form an inversion dimer with an R 2 (2)(8) motif and a trimer with an R 3 (3)(12) motif.

Synthesis and characterization of oligonucleotides containing conformationally constrained bicyclo[3.1.0]hexane pseudosugar analogs.

Project description:Oligodeoxyribonucleotides containing pseudorotationally locked sites derived from bicyclo[3.1.0]hexane pseudosugars have been synthesized using adenosine, thymidine and abasic versions of North- and South-methanocarba nucleosides. The reaction conditions for coupling and oxidation steps of oligonucleotide synthesis have been investigated and optimized to allow efficient and facile solid-phase synthesis using phosphoramidite chemistry. Our studies demonstrate that the use of iodine for P(III) to P(V) oxidation leads to strand cleavage at the sites where the pseudosugar is North. In contrast, the same cleavage reaction was not observed in the case of South pseudosugars. Iodine oxidation generates a 5'-phosphate oligonucleotide fragment on the resin and releases the North pseudosugar into the solution. This side reaction, which is responsible for the extremely low yields observed for the incorporation of the North pseudosugar analogs, has been studied in detail and can be easily overcome by replacing iodine with t-butylhydroperoxide as oxidant.

Project description:The title compound, C(8)H(11)FN(5) (+)·Cl(-), crystallized with a monoprotonated 1-(4-fluoro-phen-yl)biguanidinium cation and a chloride anion in the asymmetric unit. The biguanidium group is not planar [dihedral angle between the two CN(3) groups = 52.0 (1)°] and is rotated with respect to the phenyl group [τ = 54.3 (3)°]. In the crystal, N-H⋯N hydrogen-bonded centrosymmetric dimers are connected into ribbons, which are further stabilized by N-H⋯Cl interactions, forming a three-dimensional hydrogen-bonded network.

Biological Evaluation of 3-Azaspiro[Bicyclo[3.1.0]Hexane-2,5'-Pyrimidines] as Potential Antitumor Agents.

Project description:A series of heterocyclic compounds containing spirofused barbiturate and 3-azabicyclo[3.1.0]hexane frameworks have been studied as potential antitumor agents. Antiproliferative activity of products was screened in human erythroleukemia (K562), T lymphocyte (Jurkat), and cervical carcinoma (HeLa) as well as mouse colon carcinoma (CT26) and African green monkey kidney epithelial (Vero) cell lines. The most effective among the screened compounds show IC50 in the range from 4.2 to 24.1 μM for all tested cell lines. The screened compounds have demonstrated a significant effect of the distribution of HeLa and CT26 cells across the cell cycle stage, with accumulation of cells in SubG1 phase and induced apoptosis. It was found, using a confocal microscopy, that actin filaments disappeared and granular actin was distributed diffusely in the cytoplasm of up to 90% of HeLa cells and up to 64% of CT26 cells after treatment with tested 3-azaspiro[bicyclo [3.1.0]hexane-2,5'-pyrimidines]. We discovered that the number of HeLa cells with filopodium-like membrane protrusions was reduced significantly (from 91% in control cells to 35%) after treatment with the most active compounds. A decrease in cell motility was also noticed. Preliminary in vivo experiments on the impact of the studied compounds on the dynamics of CT26 tumor growth in Balb/C mice were also performed.
