ABSTRACT: In the title compound, C(13)H(9)N(3)S(2), the thio-phene and phenyl rings are oriented at dihedral angles of 8.00?(7) and 6.31?(7)°, respectively, with respect to the central thia-diazole ring. No significant C-H?S and ?-? inter-actions exist in the crystal structure.

The two Na(+) cations are in distorted fourfold coordinations by O atoms of the water molecules. The crystal structure is stabilized by N-H⋯S, O-H⋯N and O-H⋯S hydrogen bonds.
