Project description:The title complex, [Cu(2)(CH(3)COO)(4)(C(13)H(14)N(2))(2)], features a binuclear mol-ecule, which lies about a crystallographic centre of inversion; the four acetate ions each bridge a pair of Cu(II) atoms. The coordination of the metal atom is distorted octa-hedral within a donor set defined by four O atoms, the heterocyclic N atom and the second Cu atom. The pyridine ring is twisted with respect to the tolyl ring and forms a dihedral angle of 35.34 (9)°. A bifurcated N-H⋯(O,O) hydrogen bond is present, linking the amine group to two carboxyl-ate O atoms derived from different acetate ions. In the crystal, C-H⋯π inter-actions link mol-ecules into a supra-molecular array in the bc plane.

Project description:The title compound, [Cu(C(2)Cl(3)O(2))(2)(C(3)H(4)N(2))(4)], was prepared by the reaction of imidazole and trichloro-acetatocopper(II). The Cu(II) atom adopts a distorted octa-hedral coordination geometry, binding the N atoms of four imidazole ligands and the carboxyl-ate O atoms of two trichloro-acetate anions. The mol-ecular structure and packing are stabilized by N-H?O hydrogen-bonding inter-actions. Close inter-molecular Cl?Cl contacts [3.498?(3)?Å] are also found in the structure.

Project description:The dinuclear centrosymmetric title compound, [Cu(2)(CH(3)CO(2))(4)(C(5)H(8)N(2))(2)], has a distorted square-pyramidal coordination geometry around each Cu(II) atom in which four O atoms from the bridging acetate ligands form the basal plane while two N atoms from the pyrazole ligands occupy the apical positions. The crystal has two half mol-ecules in the asymmetric unit with a Cu?Cu distance of 2.6762?(4)?Å. Disorder was found for two O atoms and two C atoms of one acetate ligand and refined with occupancies of 0.265?(7) and 0.735?(7). The crystal also features mol-ecules linked through two N-H?O hydrogen bonds resulting in one-dimensional chains extending along the crystallographic b axis.

Project description:The title centrosymmetric bimetallic complex, [Cu(2)(C(2)H(3)O(2))(4)(C(6)H(6)N(2)O)(4)], is composed of two copper(II) cations, four acetate anions and four isonicotinamide (INA) ligands. The asymmetric unit contains one copper cation to which two acetate units bind asymmetrically; one of the Cu-O distances is rather long [2.740?(2)?Å], almost at the limit of coordination. These Cu-O bonds define an equatorial plane to which the Cu-N bonds to the INA ligands are almost perpendicular, the Cu-N vectors subtending angles of 2.4?(1) and 2.3?(1)° to the normal to the plane. The metal coordination geometry can be described as a slightly distorted trigonal bipyramid if the extremely weak Cu-O bond is disregarded, or as a highly distorted square bipyramid if it is not. The double acetate bridge between the copper ions is not coplanar with the CuO(4) equatorial planes, the dihedral angle between the (O-C-O)(2) and O-Cu-O groups being 34.3?(1)°, resulting in a sofa-like conformation for the 8-member bridging loop. In the crystal, N-H?O hydrogen bonds occur, some of which generate a head-to tail-linkage between INA units, giving raise to chains along [101]; the remaining ones make inter-chain contacts, defining a three-dimensional network. There are in addition a number of C-H?O bonds involving aromatic H atoms. Probably due to steric hindrance, the aromatic rings are not involved in significant ??? inter-actions.

The distorted octa-hedral geometry of the metal atom is completed by an N-donor atom of the N-ethyl-pyrimidin-2-amine ligand: an intra-molecular N-H⋯O hydrogen links its N-H group to an acetate carboxyl-ate O atom. In the crystal, C-H⋯O inter-actions link the mol-ecules into a supra-molecular chain along the b axis.

Project description:The title compound, [Cu(2)(OH)(2)(C(6)H(16)N(2))(2)(H(2)O)](BF(4))(2), consists of dinuclear centrosymmetric [Cu(2)(OH)(2)(tmen)(2)(H(2)O)](2+) complex cations (tmen = N,N,N',N'-tetra-methyl-ethane-1,2-diamine) and tetra-fluoridoborate anions. In the cation, the Cu(II) atom shows a slightly distorted square-pyramidal coordination geometry provided by a pair of ?-OH(-) anions and by the N atoms of a chelate tmen ligand in the basal plane. The apical position is statistically occupied by the O atom of a half-occupancy water mol-ecule. The F atoms of the anion are disordered over three sets of sites with occupancies of 0.598?(9):0.269?(6):0.134?(8). The crystal packing is governed by ionic forces as well as by O-H?F hydrogen bonds.

Project description:The title compound, [Cu(2)(CH(3)CO(2))(4)(C(7)H(5)NS)(2)] or [(C(7)H(5)NS)Cu](2)(?-O(2)CCH(3))(4), crystallizes with one mol-ecule per unit cell. The coordination number of copper is six with four basal O atoms, one axial N atom and one axial Cu atom. Four acetate ligands act as bidentate linker and connect two Cu atoms, with a crystallographic inversion center located at the mid-point of the Cu-Cu bond. The acetate ligands form slightly distorted square planes around each metal ion, while the copper ions are displaced by 0.2089?(4)?Å from these planes towards the N atoms. Thus, the Cu-Cu distance is elongated to 2.6378?(7)?Å, compared with the 2.2180?(7)?Å distance between the two basal planes. The angle between the basal plane and the Cu-N bond is 4.84?(6)°.

Project description:In the crystal structure of the title compound, [Cu(2)(CH(3)COO)(4)(C(9)H(7)N)(2)], the Cu(II) cation is coordinated by four acetate anions and one isoquinoline mol-ecule in a distorted square-pyramidal geometry; the Cu(II) cation is 0.1681?(6)?Å from the basal coordination plane formed by the four O atoms. Each acetate anion bridges two Cu(II) cations to form the centrosymmetric dinuclear complex. Within the dinuclear mol-ecule, the Cu?Cu separation is 2.6459?(4)?Å. A parallel arrangement of isoquinoline ligands of adjacent complexes is observed in the crystal structure; the face-to-face distance of 3.610?(10)?Å suggests there is no ?-? stacking between isoquinoline ring systems.
