ABSTRACT: The metal atom of the Cr(CO)(3) unit of the title compound, [Cr(C(17)H(14)O(4))(CO)(3)], is coordinated to the methoxy-phenyl ring of the isoflavone ligand; the Cr(CO)(3) unit exhibits a three-legged piano-stool conformation. The aromatic ring of the methoxy-phenyl group is twisted by 42.49?(9)° with respect to the ?-pyrone ring. In the fused-ring, the dihedral angle between the phenyl-ene and ?-pyrone rings is 3.08?(13)°.

Project description:In the title compound, [Cr(C(15)H(10)O(2))(CO)(3)], the Cr(CO)(3) unit exhibits a three-legged piano-stool conformation. The chromium metal centre is coordinated by the phenyl ring of the flavone ligand [Cr-(phenyl centroid) distance = 1.709?(1)?Å]. The ligand is approximately planar, the dihedral angles between the ?-pyrone ring and the phenyl ring and between the ?-pyrone and the phenyl-ene ring being 2.91?(5) and 3.90?(5)°, respectively. The mol-ecular packing shows ?-? stacking between the flavone ligands of neighbouring mol-ecules.

The phenyl ring is twisted away from the fused ring system by 36.49?(5)° (r.m.s. deviation = 0.027?Å; fitted atoms are the C(6) ring and the attached fused-ring C and O atoms). Project description:In the title compound, [Mo(C(37)H(53)N(3))(CO)(3)], the Mo atom to ring-centroid distance in the ?(6)-coordinated tricarbonyl-molybdenum group is 1.958?(1)?Å. The three C O groups are pseudo-octa-hedrally disposed with C-Mo-C angles ranging from 80.7?(1) to 87.4?(1)°. The two uncoordinated 2,6-diisopropyl-phenyl-substituted benzene rings form dihedral angles of 75.96?(8) and 78.01?(9)° with the mean plane of the guanidine group. The coordinated benzene ring is in a slight sofa conformation with the N-substituted C atom and the bonded N atom dispaced by 0.090?(3) and 0.458?(4)?Å, respectively, from the mean plane of the remaining ring atoms. In the crystal, despite there being two N-H donor groups, no conventional hydrogen bonds are present. This may be because of the steric effects of the bulky diisopropyl-phenyl groups.
