The dihedral angles between the pyrazole and pyrimidine rings are 1.28?(17) and 1.56?(17)° in the two mol-ecules. In one of the mol-ecules, the but-3-yn-yloxy side chain is disordered over two sets of sites in a 0.714?(8):0.286?(8) ratio.

Project description:In the title pyrazoline compound, C(19)H(14)BrN(5)O(2), the essentially planar pyrazoline and pyrimidine rings [maximum deviations = 0.013 (1) and 0.009 (1) Å, respectively] are inclined slightly to one another, making a dihedral angle of 10.81 (10)°. The nitro-benzene unit is almost perpendicular to the attached pyrazoline ring, as indicated by the dihedral angle of 84.61 (8)°. In the crystal structure, inter-molecular C-H⋯N contacts link the mol-ecules into dimers in an anti-parallel manner. These dimers are further linked into one-dimensional chains along the b axis via C-H⋯O contacts. The crystal structure is consolidated by three different inter-molecular π-π inter-actions [range of centroid-centroid distances = 3.5160 (11)-3.6912 (11) Å].

Project description:The reaction of 2,4-dichloro-5-(trifluoro-meth-yl)pyrimidine with 1H-pyrazole gave two structural isomers in a 1:1 ratio that were separable by chromatography. The title compound, C(8)H(4)ClF(3)N(4), was the first product to elute and was characterized in the present study to confirm that substitution by the pyrazolyl group had occurred at position 4. The mol-ecule (with the exception of the F atoms) is essentially planar, with a mean deviation of 0.034?Å from the least-squares plane through all non-H and non-F atoms. The bond angles in the pyrimidine ring show a pronounced alternating pattern with three angles, including those at the two N atoms being narrower, and the remaining three wider than 120°.

The molecule adapts a cis bridging mode with a C-Se-C angle of 102.13 (15)°. π-π stacking inter-actions are observed between the closest pyrazole rings of neighboring chains [centroid-centroid distance = 3.888 (1) Å] and hydrogen bonding occurs through bridging chloride anions and hydroxide groups. Additionally, O-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds are formed.
