Project description:The title compound NH(4) (+)·C(5)H(4)N(3)O(2) (-) crystallizes with two formula units in the asymmetric unit. In each anion, the carboxyl-ate is deprotonated and the planar amino group [angle sums of 359 (3) and 355 (3)° at N] remains protonated. In the crystal, the cations and anions are bridged by N-H⋯O and N-H⋯N hydrogen bonds, forming a three-dimensional network.

Project description:The title ion pair, C(13)H(10)N(+)·C(6)H(3)N(2)O(4) (-), contains a protonated acridine cation and a 3-carb-oxy-pyrazine-2-carboxyl-ate monoanion, which are linked together through O-H⋯O, N-H⋯O and weak C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds. These hydrogen bonds generate a C(10) chain graph-set motif. The crystal structure is further stabilized by extensive π-π stacking inter-actions between nearly parallel [dihedral angle = 1.21(2)°] acridine systems. The shortest distance between the centroids of the six-membered rings within the cations is 3.6315 (8) Å. In addition, C-H⋯π edge-to-face inter-actions are present.

Project description:In the layered title coordination polymer, {[Ba(2)(C(5)H(3)N(2)O(2))(2)(H(2)O)(7)](C(5)H(3)N(2)O(2))(2)}(n), the coordination geometries around the two independent Ba(II) ions can be described as bicapped square-anti-prismatic [BaNO(9)] arrangements. A two-dimensional polymeric framework with (6,3) topology can be observed in the ac plane, the nodes being provided by Ba(II) ions and the connectors being N and O atoms belonging to pyrazine-2-carboxyl-ate ligands and O atoms of bridging water mol-ecules. Non-coordinating pyrazine-2-carboxyl-ate ions are located between the polymeric layers in the crystal and are interconnected through extensive O-H⋯N,O hydrogen bonding.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, [Li(3)(C(6)H(5)N(2)O(2))(2)(NO(3))(H(2)O)(2)](n) contains three Li(I) ions, two ligand anions, two water mol-ecules and a nitrate anion. Related by a centre of inversion, they form a centrosymmetric mol-ecular cluster in which one of the Li(I) ions shows trigonal-bipyramidal and the other two distorted tetra-hedral coordination. Li(I) ions are bridged by water O atoms and carboxyl-ate O atoms donated by one of the ligands. The clusters, bridged by two nitrato O atoms, form mol-ecular columns along [010], which are held together by O-H?O and O-H?N hydrogen bonds and ?-? inter-actions [centroid-centroid distances = 3.694?(1) and 3.796?(1)?Å].

Project description:The title compound, C(6)H(7)NO(2), is essentially planar with a dihedral angle of 3.6 (3)° between the pyrrole ring and the methoxy-carbonyl O/C/O/C plane. In the crystal structure, the N atom is a hydrogen-bond donor to the carboxylate C=O O atom of the neighboring mol-ecule. These inter-molecular hydrogen bonds lead to the formation of helical chains along the b axis.

Project description:The title compound, C(15)H(12)O(3), was obtained unintentionally as the by-product of an attempted recrystallization from methanol of propantheline bromide, an anti-muscarinic drug. The xanthone unit is folded, with a dihedral angle of 24.81 (9)° between the benzene rings. The ester substituent adopts a trans staggered conformation, with a C-C-O-C torsion angle of 178.4 (1)°. The mol-ecules pack in distinct layers, facilitated by C-H⋯π and weak π-π ring inter-actions. A weak C-H⋯O inter-action also occurs; however, no classical hydrogen bonding is observed.

Project description:In the crystal structure of the title compound, C(14)H(11)NO(3), isolated from the reaction of 2-bromo-1-phenyl-ethanone and pyridine-4-carboxylic acid using triethyl-amine as a base to deprotonate the organic acid, the mol-ecular packing is stabilized by C-H⋯π inter-actions involving the phenyl and pyridine rings. The C-C-O-C torsion angle for the linkage between the two carbonyl groups is -80.8 (2)°, and the planes of the phenyl and pyridyl rings form a dihedral angle of 65.8 (1)°.

Project description:In the title co-crystal, C(22)H(16)O(10)·C(22)H(18)O(8), the independent tetra-methyl 9,10-dihydro-9,10-dioxoanthracene-2,3,6,7-tetra-carboxyl-ate, (I), and tetra-methyl anthracene-2,3,6,7-tetra-carboxyl-ate, (II), components occupy separate crystallographic inversion centers. In (II), the dihedral angles between the mean aromatic plane and the two independent carboxyl-ate planes are 41.32 (10) and -38.35 (10)°. The methyl-carboxyl-ate groups of (I) are disordered, with each resolvable into two groups. In the least disordered carboxyl-ate, the apparent angles between the mean aromatic plane and the two partial carboxyl-ate planes [site occupations = 0.510 (3) and 0.490 (3)] are 16.8 (3) and 23.3 (3)°. In the highly disordered group, the apparent angles between the mean aromatic plane and the two partial carboxyl-ate planes [site occupations = 0.510 (3) and 0.490 (3)] are 78.3 (3) and -74.1 (3)°. In addition, this extreme disorder leads to an artificially elongated C(aromatic)-C(carbox-yl) bond.
