ABSTRACT: The asymmetric unit of the title complex, {[AgEr(C(5)H(3)N(2)O(2))(2)(C(2)O(4))]·H(2)O}(n), contains one Er(III) atom, one Ag(I) atom, two pyrazine-2-carboxyl-ate (pyc) ligands, two half oxalate ligands (each lying on an inversion center) and one uncoordinated water mol-ecule. The Er(III) atom is coordinated by two O atoms and two N atoms from two pyc ligands, one O atom from a third pyc ligand and four O atoms from two oxalate ligands in a distorted monocapped square-anti-prismatic geometry. The Ag(I) atom is coordinated by two N atoms from two pyc ligands, one O atom from a third pyc ligand and one O atom from one oxalate ligand. The crystal structure exhibits a three-dimensional heterometallic polymeric network. O-H?O hydrogen bonding between the uncoordinated water mol-ecule and carboxyl-ate O atoms is observed.

Project description:In the title coordination polymer, {[AgNd(C(5)H(3)N(2)O(2))(2)(C(2)O(4))]·H(2)O}(n), the Nd(III) atom is coordinated in a distorted monocapped square-anti-prismatic geometry by two O and two N atoms of two N,O-bidentate pyrazine-2-carboxyl-ate (2-pzc) ligands, four O atoms of two bidentate oxalate ligands, and one O atom of a monodentate carboxyl-ate group of a 2-pzc ligand. The Ag(I) ion is coordinated in a distorted tetra-hedral geometry by two N atoms from two monodentate 2-pzc ligands, one O atom from one monodentate oxalate ligand and one O atom of a bridging carboxyl-ate group of a 2-pzc ligand. The oxalate anions link neighbouring neodymium(III) metal centres into Nd-oxalate chains, which are inter-connected by Ag(2-pyz)(2) units, forming a three-dimensional polymeric framework. Inter-molecular O-H?O and C-H?O hydrogen bonds are observed in the crystal structure.

Project description:In the polymeric complex of the title compound, {[AgNi(C(5)H(3)N(2)O(2))(2)(H(2)O)(2)]NO(3)·2H(2)O}(n), the Ag(I) ion displays an angular coordination geometry with two N atoms from pyrazine-2-carboxyl-ate ligands, and the Ni(II) ion is hexa-coordinated by two O atoms from two water mol-ecules, two O and two N atoms from pyrazine-2-carboxyl-ate ligands in a distorted octa-hedral geometry. In the crystal, the Ag(I) and Ni(II) ions lie on a mirror plane and an inversion centre, respectively. The complex chains, the nitrate ions and the uncoordinated water mol-ecules are linked together through O-H?O hydrogen bonds and weak Ag?O inter-actions [2.619?(17)-2.749?(17)?Å] into a three-dimensional network.

Project description:The water-coordinated La(III) atom in the title compound, {[La(C(5)H(4)N(3)O(2))(C(2)O(4))(H(2)O)(2)]·H(2)O}(n), is N,O-chelated by a 3-amino-pyrazine-2-carboxyl-ate ion; this ion links adjacent metal atoms to form a chain parallel to [010]. The oxalate ion serves as a bis-bidentate chelate that links adjacent metal atoms to form a chain parallel to [001]. The two bridging ions give rise to a layer motif parallel to (100) in which the La(III) atom exists in a distorted tricapped trigonal prismatic geometry. Extensive hydrogen bonding between the constituents stabilizes the structure.

Project description:In the layered title coordination polymer, {[Ba(2)(C(5)H(3)N(2)O(2))(2)(H(2)O)(7)](C(5)H(3)N(2)O(2))(2)}(n), the coordination geometries around the two independent Ba(II) ions can be described as bicapped square-anti-prismatic [BaNO(9)] arrangements. A two-dimensional polymeric framework with (6,3) topology can be observed in the ac plane, the nodes being provided by Ba(II) ions and the connectors being N and O atoms belonging to pyrazine-2-carboxyl-ate ligands and O atoms of bridging water mol-ecules. Non-coordinating pyrazine-2-carboxyl-ate ions are located between the polymeric layers in the crystal and are interconnected through extensive O-H⋯N,O hydrogen bonding.

The first is N,O-chelated by three 3-amino-pyrazine-2-carboxyl-ate ions, whereas the second is chelated by two carboxyl-ate ions; both exist in a monocapped square-anti-prismatic geometry. The polymeric chains that run along the a axis inter-act with the lattice water mol-ecules, generating a three-dimensional hydrogen-bonded network. The formate ion is disordered over two positions with respect to the non-coordinated atoms in a 1:1 ratio.

The Ag(I) atom has a T-shaped configuration, defined by two N atoms from two nicotinate ligands and one O atom from one oxalate ligand. The nicotinate and oxalate ligands link the Nd and Ag atoms into a three-dimensional coordination framework. O-H?O and O-H?N hydrogen bonds donated by water mol-ecules are observed in the crystal.

Project description:The polymeric structure of the title compound, [Pb(C(5)H(3)N(2)O(2))(2)(H(2)O)](n), is built up from centrosymmetric [Pb(C(5)H(3)N(2)O(2))(2)(H(2)O)](2) dimers, which are bridged by ligand carboxyl-ate O atoms. The Pb(II) ion adopts an irregular PbN(2)O(5) coordination polyhedron; it is chelated by one N,O-bidentate ligand and also bonds to a water O atom. A second N,O-bidentate ligand forms the dimer bridge and another bridging O atom from a nearby dimer also bonds to the Pb(II) ion, leading to layers propagating in (100). A network of O-H?O hydrogen bonds operates between water O atoms (donors) and carboxyl-ate O atoms (acceptors).

The Ag-N and Ag-O distances are in the ranges 2.150?(5)-2.198?(5) and 2.142?(4)-2.702?(5)?Å, respectively. A two-dimensional coordination network is formed parallel to (100). The O atom of the disordered solvent water mol-ecule is located on an inversion center.
