ABSTRACT: In the title compound, [Ni(C(8)H(5)Cl(2)N(3)OS)(C(12)H(8)N(2))(CH(3)OH)], the Ni(II) atom is octa-hedrally coordinated by one N, one O and one S atom from a 3,5-dichloro-2-oxidobenzaldehyde thio-semicarbazonate ligand, another O atom from methanol and another two N atoms from 1,10-phenanthroline. The crystal structure is constructed by N-H?Cl, N-H?N, C-H?S and O-H?S hydrogen bonds.

Project description:In the title complex, [Cd(NO(2))(C(22)H(20)N(6))(CH(3)OH)]ClO(4), the Cd(II) ion is in a distorted penta-gonal-bipyramidal CdN(4)O(3) coordination geometry. The dihedral angles formed between the mean planes of the pyrazole rings and the phenanthroline ring system are 4.37 (19) and 5.84 (21)°. In the crystal, the anions and cations are connected by inter-molecular O-H⋯O hydrogen bonding, while pairs of weak inter-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds connect the cations into centrosymmetric dimers. In addition, there is a π-π stacking inter-action involving two symmetry-related benzene rings, with a centroid-centroid distance of 3.437 (3) Å.

Project description:In the title complex, [Cu(C(2)HCl(2)O(2))(2)(C(12)H(8)N(2))(H(2)O)], the Cu(II) ion has a distorted square-pyramidal coordination geometry. The equatorial positions are occupied by two N atoms from a 1,10-phenanthroline ligand [Cu-N = 1.994 (3) and 2.027 (3) Å] and two O atoms from dichloro-acetate ligands and a water mol-ecule [Cu-O = 1.971 (2) and 1.939 (2) Å]. One O atom from another dichloro-acetate ligand occupies the apical positon [Cu-O = 2.152 (3) Å]. Inter-molecular O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules into centrosymmetric dimers. The crystal packing also exhibits weak inter-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, π-π inter-actions [centroid-centroid distance = 3.734 (2) Å] and short inter-molecular Cl⋯Cl contacts [3.306 (2) and 3.278 (2) Å].

Project description:The mol-ecule of the title compound, [Cd(C(9)H(5)O(6))(2)(C(12)H(8)N(2))], has crystallographic twofold rotation symmetry. The Cd(II) atom, located on the twofold axis, assumes a CdO(4)N(2) distorted octa-hedral coordination geometry. In the crystal structure, the mol-ecules link to each other by O-H⋯O and C-H⋯O hydrogen bonding to form a three-dimensional supra-molecular network.

Project description:The title compound, [Ni(C(11)H(19)O(2))(2)(C(12)H(8)N(2))], was obtained from the reaction of bis-(2,2,6,6-tetra-methyl-heptane-3,5-dionato)nickel(II), [Ni(dpm)], and 1,10-phenanthroline (phen). The Ni(II) ion is coordinated by four O atoms from two dpm ligands and two N atoms from a phen ligand in a slightly distorted octa-hedral environment. The methyl C atoms of two of the tert-butyl groups are disordered over two sites, having approximate occupancies of 0.85 and 0.15 for the two components. In the crystal structure, there are no direction-specific inter-actions. Thermal studies showed that the title complex is stable to 623 K.

Project description:The title complex, [Mn(2)(C(8)H(7)O(3))(4)(C(12)H(8)N(2))(2)]·0.5CH(3)OH, is a carboxyl-ate-bridged dinuclear Mn(II) complex with four phenoxy-acetate ions and two 1,10-phenanthroline mol-ecules as ligands. Each of the four phenoxy-acetate anions bridges the pair of Mn atoms. The asymmetric unit is completed by a half-occupancy methanol solvent mol-ecule. Face-to-face π-π stacking inter-actions between the aromatic rings of 1,10-phenanthroline molecules belonging to adjacent Mn(2) complexes, with an inter-planar separation of circa 3.4 Å, and weak C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds connect the dinuclear units into a three-dimensional supra-molecular framework.

Project description:The title compound, [Na(C(4)H(7)OS(2))(C(12)H(8)N(2))(2)], is monomeric, with the Na atom chelated by the S atoms of an i-propylxanthate ligand and the N atoms of two 1,10-phenanthroline (phen) ligands. The Na atom is six-coordinate in a distorted trigonal anti-prism. A number of π-π stacking inter-actions involving the phen rings help to consolidate the crystal packing (centroid-centroid distances lie in the range 3.338-3.443 Å).
