ABSTRACT: The mol-ecule of the title compound, C(4)H(4)IN(3), has crystallographic mirror plane symmetry. In the crystal, the mol-ecules are connected through N-H?N hydrogen bonds into polymeric tapes extended along the a axis, which are typical of 2-amino-pyrimidines. Each mol-ecule acts as a double donor and a double acceptor in the hydrogen bonding.

Project description:In the title pyrimidine derivative, C(4)H(4)ClN(3), the 2-chloro and 4-amino substituents almost lie in the mean plane of the pyrimidine ring, with deviations of 0.003 (1) Å for the Cl atom, and 0.020 (1) Å for the N atom. In the crystal, molecules are linked via pairs of N-H⋯N hydrogen bonds, forming inversion dimers. These dimers are further linked via N-H⋯N hydrogen bonds, forming an undulating two-dimensional network lying parallel to (100).

Project description:The title compound, C(11)H(11)N(3), was synthesized as part of our research into functionalized pyrimidines. It crystallizes with two independent mol-ecules in the asymmetric unit that differ only in the twist between the two aromatic rings; the torsion angles between the rings are 29.9 (2) and 45.1 (2)°. The crystal packing is dominated by inter-molecular N-H⋯N hydrogen bonds between independent and equivalent mol-ecules, forming an infinite three-dimensional network.

Project description:The title compound, C13H11N3S, crystallizes with two independent mol-ecules in the asymmetric unit. The two mol-ecules are geometrically very similar and differ mainly in a spatial orientation of the benzene and thieno[3,2-d]pyrimidine ring systems [dihedral angles = 69.49?(4) and 79.05?(3)°]. The nine-membered thieno[3,2-d]pyrimidine moieties have a planar conformation (r.m.s. deviations = 0.020 and 0.012?Å). Project description:Two independent mol-ecules comprise the asymmetric unit in the title compound, C(11)H(11)N(3). These differ in terms of the relative orientations of the aromatic rings: the first is somewhat twisted, while the second is approximately planar [dihedral angles between the pyrimidine and phenyl rings = 39.00 (8) and 4.59 (11)°]. The mol-ecules also form distinct patterns in their hydrogen bonding. The first independent mol-ecule forms centrosymmetric dimers featuring an eight-membered {HNCN}(2) synthon. The second independent mol-ecule forms an N-H⋯N hydrogen bond with the other pyrimidine N atom of the first mol-ecule. Thereby, tetra-meric aggregates are formed. These associate via C-H⋯N and C-H⋯π inter-actions, consolidating the crystal packing.
