ABSTRACT: The Co(II) atom in the title complex, [Co(NO(2))(2)(C(12)H(12)N(6))(2)](n), lies on an inversion center and is coordinated by four N atoms from the triazole rings of two symmetry-related pairs of 1,4-bis-(1,2,4-triazol-1-ylmeth-yl)benzene (bbtz) ligands and two O atoms from two symmetry-related monodentate nitrate ligands in a distorted octa-hedral geometry. The Co atoms are bridged by four bbtz ligands, forming a two-dimensional (4,4) network parallel to (102).

Project description:In the title complex, [Co(C2N3)2(C12H12N6)2] n the Co(II) atom lies on a centre of symmetry and displays a slightly distorted octa-hedral coordination geometry. The 1,2-bis-[(1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)meth-yl]benzene ligands link adjacent metal atoms into polymeric chains parallel to the c axis, forming centrosymmetric 26-membered metallamacrocycles. The conformation of the metallamacrocycles is stabilized by pairs of C-H?N hydrogen bonds. The dihedral angles formed by the planes of the triazole rings with those of the benzene ring are 79.4?(2) and 79.1?(2)°. In the crystal, the chains inter-act through C-H?N hydrogen bonds, forming a three-dimensional network.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C(10)H(8)N(6)·2H(2)O, comprises half the organic species, the mol-ecule being completed by inversion symmetry, and one water mol-ecule. The dihedral angle between the 1,2,4-triazole ring and the central benzene ring is 32.2?(2)°. The water mol-ecules form O-H?N hydrogen bonds with N-atom acceptors of the triazole rings. C-H?N hydrogen bonds are also observed, giving a three-dimensional framework.

Project description:In the title compound, C(12)H(12)N(6)·4H(2)O, the two triazole rings adopt a cis configuration with a crystallographic twofold axis passing through the central benzene group. The benzene and triazole rings are almost coplanar with a dihedral angle of 5.5?(1)°. In the crystal, water mol-ecules are joined together by OW-H?OW hydrogen bonds to form a one-dimensional zigzag chain. These water chains are further connected to the organic mol-ecule, forming a three-dimensional network by inter-molecular OW-H?N and N-H?OW hydrogen bonds. Moreover, ?-? stacking inter-actions between triazole rings [centroid-centroid distances = 3.667?(1)-3.731?(1)?Å] are observed. One of the water mol-ecules shows one of the H atoms to be disordered over two positions.

Project description:The Mn(II) atom in the title coordination polymer, [MnCl(2)(C(12)H(12)N(6))(2)](n), lies on a center of inversion in a six-coordinate octa-hedral environment comprising four N-atom donors from four N-heterocyclic ligands and two chloride atoms. Bridging by the ligands results in a layer structure of a 14.79?(5) × 14.79?(5)?Å (4,4) rhombic net topology, with the Mn(II) atoms all lying on a plane. The parallel layers stack in an ABCABC… manner through inter-layer C-H?N and C-H?Cl hydrogen bonds.
