(5S,6R,7R*)-6-Formyl-5-phenyl-7-propyl-perhydro-pyrazolo[1,2-a]pyrazol-1-one.

ABSTRACT: The title compound, C(16)H(20)N(2)O(2), was obtained by catalytic asymmetric cyclo-addition of trans-3-propyl-acrolein with 1-benzyl-idenepyrazolid-3-one betaine. There are two symmetry-independent mol-ecules in the asymmetric unit. In both mol-ecules, the two five-membered heterocyclic rings adopt envelope conformations.

Project description:The title mol-ecule, C(13)H(18)N(2)OS, is an oxadiazinanthione derived from (1R,2S)-norephedrine. There are two molecules in the asymmetric. Both adopt roughly half-chair conformations; however, the 5-position carbon orients out of opposite faces of the oxadiazinanthiones plane in the two molecules. In the crystal structure, they are oriented as a dimer linked by a pair of N-H⋯S hydrogen bonds. The absolute configuration has been established from anomalous dispersion and confirms the known stereochemistry based on the synthetic procedure.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C(28)H(32)N(4) (2+)·2Br(-)·0.5H(2)O, contains one 3,3'-[1,2-phenyl-enebis(methyl-ene)]bis-(1-propyl-benzimidazolium) cation, two bromide anions and one half-mol-ecule of water. In the crystal, the whole 3,3'-[1,2-phen-yl-enebis(methyl-ene)]bis-(1-propyl-benzimidazolium) cation and one of the bromide anions are each disordered over two positions with site-occupancy ratios of 0.751?(6):0.249?(6) and 0.680?(8):0.320?(8). For the major component of the disordered cation, the central benzene ring forms dihedral angles of 83.6?(5) and 88.2?(4)° with its adjacent imidazole rings, while these angles for the minor component are 89.2?(15) and 84.9?(13)°. In the crystal, the cations and anions are linked by C-H?Br hydrogen bonds into dimers and then stacked along the c axis. The crystal packing is further stabilized by C-H?? and ?-? inter-actions [shortest centroid-centroid distance = 3.646?(4)?Å].

Project description:The title compound, C21H25NO3, crystallized as a racemic twin in the Sohnke space group P21. In the mol-ecular structure of the title compound, both enanti-omers show a highly similar conformation with the urethane function and the benzoyl group showing an almost perpendicular arrangement [the dihedral angle is 72.46 (8)° in the S-enanti-omer and 76.21 (8)° in the R-enanti-omer]. In the crystal structure, mol-ecules of both enanti-omers show infinite helical arrangements parallel to the b axis formed by weak C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds between the phenyl ring of the benzoyl group and the carbamate carbonyl group. In case of the R-enanti-omer, this helix is additionally stabilized by a bifurcated hydrogen bond between the carbonyl function of the benzoyl group towards both phenyl groups of the mol-ecule.

Weak intermolecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bonding links the mol-ecules, forming supra-molecular chains running along the a axis.

Project description:In the title mol-ecule, C(16)H(13)N(3)O(2)S, the heterocyclic thia-zine ring adopts a twist chair conformation with the S atom and an adjacent C atom displaced by 0.946 (5) and 0.405 (6) Å, respectively, on the same side of the mean plane formed by the remaining ring atoms. The mean planes of the benzene rings make dihedral angles of 16.61 (10) and 15.32 (10)° with the mean plane of the pyrazole ring. The mol-ecular structure is consolidated by intra-molecular C-H⋯N inter-actions and the crystal packing is stabilized by N-H⋯O and C-H⋯N hydrogen bonds. The crystal studied was an inversion twin with the refined ratio of the twin components being 0.53 (11):0.47 (11).
