ABSTRACT: In the title compound, C(21)H(23)N(2)O(2)P, the P atom has a distorted tetra-hedral configuration. The O atom of the OC(6)H(4)-4-CH(3) group and the N atoms show sp(2) character. In the crystal, adjacent mol-ecules are linked by N-H?O hydrogen bonds into helical chains parallel to the b axis.

Project description:In the title mol-ecule, C(17)H(23)N(2)O(2)P, the P atom has a distorted tetra-hedral environment. The P-N bond to the tolyl-amido fragment is 1.642 (4) Å while that to the butyl-amido fragment is 1.629 (3) Å. The dihedral angle between the two benzene rings is 82.3 (2)°. In the crystal, adjacent mol-ecules are linked via weak N-H⋯(O)P and N-H⋯N hydrogen-bonding inter-actions into an extended chain parallel to the b axis. The three methyl groups of the tert-butyl-amido substituent are disordered over two sets of sites with equal occupancies. The crystal studied was found to be a non-merohedral twin with the minor twin component = 23.1 (1)%.

Project description:The title compound, C(20)H(21)N(2)O(2)P, was synthesized from (RS)-(C(6)H(5)O)P(O)Cl(NHC(6)H(4)-p-CH(3)) and benzyl-amine. The product crystallizes as a racemate in a polar space group. The phospho-rus atom has a distorted tetra-hedral configuration: the bond angles at the P atom are in the range 103.2 (1)-118.4 (1)°. The P-N(benzyl-amido) bond [1.615 (2) Å] is slightly shorter than the P-N(p-tolyl-amido) bond [1.630 (2) Å]. Both N-H groups adopt an anti orientation relative to the phosphoryl group. In the crystal, the adjacent mol-ecules are linked via N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming R(2) (2)(8) rings, into a one-dimensional arrangement parallel to the x axis.

Project description:In the title compound, [Zr(C(12)H(18)N)(2)(C(4)H(10)N)(2)(C(4)H(11)N)] or [Zr(HNC(6)H(3) (i)Pr(2))(2)(NEt(2))(2)(HNEt(2))], which was obtained by the reaction of Zr(NEt)(4) with (i)Pr(2)C(6)H(3)NH(2), the Zr(IV) atom is in a trigonal-bipiramidal geometry in which the N atoms from two (i)Pr(2)C(6)H(3)NH and one NEt(2) ligand occupy the equatorial positions, and the N atoms of an NEt(2) and an Et(2)NH ligand occupy the apical positions. An intra-molecular N-H?N contact occurs. There are two independent molecules in the asymmetric unit.
