ABSTRACT: In the crystal structure of the title compound, C(4)H(12)N(2) (2+)·C(6)H(6)O(7) (2-)·H(2)O, the cations, anions and water mol-ecules are linked by inter-molecular N-H?O, O-H?O and weak C-H?O hydrogen bonds into a three-dimensional network. An intra-molecular O-H?O inter-action occurs in the dianion.

In the crystal, inter-molecular N-H?O and N-H?N hydrogen bonds help to construct a three-dimensional framework. Almost symmetrical, intramolecular O-H?O inter-actions are also observed.
