ABSTRACT: In the title mol-ecule, C(16)H(15)N(3), the indole ring system is planar within 0.021?(3)?Å and the phenyl ring is inclined to this plane by 17.32?(14)°. ?-? contacts involving the pyrrole rings of inversion-related indole units [centroid-centroid distance = 3.5187?(17)?Å] stabilize the crystal structure.

Project description:There are two independent 3,5-dimethyl-pyrazole and two independent 2-hy-droxy-5-(phenyl-diazen-yl)benzoic acid mol-ecules [in which intra-molecular O-H⋯O bonds form S(6) graph-set motifs] in the asymmetric unit of the title compound, C(5)H(8)N(2)·C(13)H(10)N(2)O(3). In the crystal, the components are linked by inter-molecular O-H⋯O, O-H⋯N and N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming four-component clusters. Further stabilization is provided by weak C-H⋯π inter-actions.

Project description:The title compound, C(21)H(18)N(6)O(2), was obtained as a by-product of a reaction between (E)-4-(4-dimethyl-amino-phenyl-azo)benzoic acid and 2-amino-4-(2-pyrid-yl)-6-(6-pyrid-yl)-1,3,5-triazine, which has a very low solubility, under peptidic coupling conditions, using THF as solvent. The condensation reaction occurred between 1-hy-droxy-benzotriazole and (E)-4-(4-dimethyl-amino-phenyl-azo)benzoic acid. The dihedral angle between the benzene rings in the (E)-diphenyl-diazene fragment is 10.92?(13)° and that between the benzotriazole mean plane and the central benzene ring is 80.57?(7)°. In the crystal, ?-? stacking [centroid-centroid distances = 3.823?(2) and 3.863?(2)?Å] of similar fragments generates mol-ecular layers parallel to (0-12). The crystal packing also features weak C-H?N hydrogen bonds involving N atoms of the benzotriazole ring.

Project description:In the title molecular salt, C(7)H(11)N(2) (+)·C(13)H(9)N(2)O(3) (-), the dihedral angle between the benzene rings in the anion is 35.14 (8)°. In the crystal, centrosymmetrically related anions associate via hydrox-yl-carboxyl-ate O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, resulting in a 24-membered {⋯OC(3)N(2)C(4)OH}(2) synthon. The cations are associated with this dimeric unit via pyridinium-carboxyl-ate N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds. Weak C-H⋯O links further consolidate the packing, generating layers.

In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked by N-H?O hydrogen bonds, weak C-H?O and C-H?N hydrogen bonds, and C-H?? inter-actions into a three-dimensional supra-molecular architecture.
