ABSTRACT: In the title compound, [Al(C(29)H(41)N(2))(C(2)H(2)N(2)P)(2)], the Al(III) atom is coordinated by four N atoms from ?-diketiminate and 1,2,4-diaza-phospho-lide ligands in a slightly distorted tetra-hedral fashion.

The dihedral angle between the central 1,4-diaza-buta-1,3-diene unit and the attached substituted phenyl ring is 88.4?(7)°. The structure features a C-H?N close contact. The crystal selected for this study proved to be a non-merohedral twin with a minor component of 21.8?(3)%.

Project description:The title compound, C(17)H(21)NS, was prepared by the condensation of thio-phene-2-carbaldehyde with 2,6-diiso-propyl-aniline. It crystallizes with two mol-ecules in the asymmetric unit. The mol-ecules are inter-connected via a C-H?N hydrogen bond. The dihedral angles between the thio-phene and phenyl rings are 81.7?(7) and 85.5?(7)°.

Project description:The title compound, C(27)H(38)N(2), is the first reported free imidazolidin-2-yl-idene carbene with 2,6-diisopropyl-phenyl groups in the 1,3-positions. The five-membered ring adopts a twisted conformation and the dihedral angle between the aromatic rings is 48.81 (6)°. Both isopropyl groups attached to one of the benzene rings are disordered over two sets of sites in 0.74 (2):0.26 (2) and 0.599 (8):0.401 (8) ratios.

Project description:In the structures of the 2,6-bis-(1,2,4-triazoly-3-yl)methyl-substituted pyridine compound, C11H11N7, (I) and the iodide triiodide salt, C13H17N7 (2+)·I(-)·I3 (-), (II), the dihedral angles between the two triazole rings and the pyridine ring are 66.4 (1) and 74.6 (1)° in (I), and 68.4 (2)° in (II), in which the dication lies across a crystallographic mirror plane. The overall packing structure for (I) is two-dimensional with the layers lying parallel to the (001) plane. In (II), the triiodide anion lies within the mirror plane, occupying the space between the two triazole substituent groups and was found to have minor disorder [occupancy ratio 0.9761 (9):0.0239 (9)]. The overall packing of structure (II) can be described as two-dimensional with the layers stacking parallel to the (001) plane. In the crystal, the predominant inter-molecular inter-actions in (I) and (II) involve the acidic hydrogen atom in the third position of the triazole ring, with either the triazole N-atom acceptor in weak C-H⋯N hydrogen bonds in (I), or with halide counter-ions through C-H⋯I inter-actions, in (II).

The dihedral angle between the pyridine ring and benzene ring of both arms is 84.55 (6)° while the benzene rings make a dihedral angle of 46.07 (7)°. In the crystal, weak C-H⋯π inter-actions link the molecules sheets parallel to the ac plane.
