ABSTRACT: In the binuclear title compound, [Mo(2)(C(12)H(15)N(4)O(2))(2)Cl(2)O(3)]·H(2)O, the complex mol-ecules have approximate C(2) symmetry. Both Mo(V) atoms have a distorted octa-hedral coordination environment with cis-positioned terminal chloride and oxide groups. The heteroscorpionate organic ligand binds to the Mo(V) atom via an N(2)O donor set. The water mol-ecule bridges two complex mol-ecules, forming O-H?O and O-H?Cl hydrogen bonds to the acetate group and to the chloride ligands.
