Cytochrome P450s (CYPs) are heme-containing monooxygenases that contribute to an enormous range of enzymatic function including biosynthetic and detoxification roles. This review summarizes recent studies concerning interactions of CYPs with ligands including substrates, inhibitors, and diatomic heme-ligating molecules.
