ABSTRACT: In the title compound, C(14)H(20)N(2)O(3)·H(2)O, the geometry about the morpholine N atom implies sp(3) hybridization. In the crystal, symmetry-related mol-ecules are linked by inter-molecular N-H?O, O-H?O and O-H?N hydrogen bonds, forming infinite chains along the b axis. The chain structure is further stabilized by intra-molecular C-H?O inter-actions.

Project description:In the title compound, C10H11N3O6, the torsion angles about the bonds to the benzene ring are less than 4°, except for the nitro groups, which are twisted out of the ring plane by 25.27 (3) and 43.63 (2)°. The N-H group forms a bifurcated hydrogen bond, with an intra-molecular component to a nitro group O atom and an inter-molecular component to the other nitro group, thereby forming chains propagating in the [010] direction. Several weak C-H⋯O inter-actions are also present.

In the crystal, N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds between neighbouring mol-ecules form chains of mol-ecules along the a-axis direction.

Project description:In the title compound, C(15)H(16)N(2)O(4)S, the S atom has a distorted tetra-hedral geometry [maximum deviation: O-S-O = 118.25 (7)°]. The two aromatic rings make a dihedral angle of 62.67 (10)° with each other. An intra-molecular N-H⋯O hydrogen bond forms an S(6) ring motif. In the crystal, mol-ecules form centrosymmetric dimers via pairwise N-H⋯O inter-actions, forming an R(2) (2)(8) ring motif, and these dimers are connected by N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, generating a three-dimensional network. Project description:When viewed down the central S?N axis of the title compound, C(20)H(26)N(2)O(3)S, it is apparent that the mol-ecule adopts a gauche conformation with all O atoms lying to one side of the central benzene ring; the carbonyl O atom is directed away from the central ring and the N-bound ethyl groups lie to one side of the mol-ecule. Supra-molecular helical chains aligned along the b axis and sustained by C-H?O contacts feature in the crystal packing. These are consolidated in the three-dimensional structure by C-H?? inter-actions.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C(14)H(12)N(2)O(4), contains two mol-ecules that differ principally in the orientation of the acetamide substituent to the adjacent benzene ring with dihedral angles of 44.77 (7) and 19.06 (7)°. The dihedral angles between the benzene rings are 64.46 (4) and 80.84 (4)°. In the crystal, classical N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds form C(4) chains along [100]. These chains are inter-linked by C-H⋯O contacts forming R(2) (2)(10) rings. In the crystal, π-π inter-actions are observed with a distance of 3.5976 (18) Å between the centroids of the nitro-substituted benzene rings of one type of mol-ecule.

The crystal packing is stabilized by inter-molecular O-H⋯O, O-H⋯N and N-H⋯N hydrogen bonds, which link the mol-ecules into chains along the a axis.
