(E)-N'-(2-Fluoro-benzyl-idene)furan-2-carbohydrazide.

ABSTRACT: The title compound, C(12)H(9)FN(2)O(2), was prepared by the reaction of 2-fluoro-benzaldehyde and furan-2-carbohydrazide. The furan ring is disordered over two sets of sites with refined occupancies of 0.60?(3):0.40?(3). The major and minor components of the furan ring make dihedral angles of 51.9?(6) and 38.0?(10)°, respectively, with the benzene ring. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked via bifurcated N-H?O(N) hydrogen bonds into chains along [001].
