ABSTRACT: The title compound, C(11)H(6)ClN(5)O(4)S, crystallized with two independent mol-ecules in the asymmetric unit. The benzene ring makes dihedral angles of 66.46?(8) and 85.77?(9)° with the mean plane of the purine ring in the two mol-ecules. In the crystal, inter-molecular ?-? stacking inter-actions [centroid-centroid distance = 3.8968?(12)?Å], C-Cl?? inter-actions [Cl?centroid = 3.2505?(10)?Å, C-Cl?centroid = 161.56?(18)°] and non-classical C-H?O and C-H?N hydrogen bonds link the molecules.

The benzene ring makes dihedral angles of 66.46 (8) and 85.77 (9)° with the mean plane of the purine ring in the two mol-ecules. In the crystal, inter-molecular π-π stacking inter-actions [centroid-centroid distance = 3.8968 (12) Å], C-Cl⋯π inter-actions [Cl⋯centroid = 3.2505 (10) Å, C-Cl⋯centroid = 161.56 (18)°] and non-classical C-H⋯O and C-H⋯N hydrogen bonds link the molecules. ...[more]

Project description:In the title compound, C26H18Cl2N2O5S, the carbazole ring system is essentially planar with a maximum deviation of 0.0498 (16) Å for the N atom. The carbazole ring system is almost orthogonal to the phenyl-sulfonyl and di-chloro-substituted nitro-phenyl rings, making dihedral angles of 84.23 (7) and 85.46 (12)°, respectively. The mol-ecular structure features intra-molecular C-H⋯O inter-actions, which generate two S(6) ring motifs. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked by C-Cl⋯O halogen bonds [3.016 (3) Å, 166.63 (5)°], which generate infinite C(8) chains running parallel to [010].

Project description:In the title mol-ecule, C(18)H(12)N(2)O(4)S, the carbazole skeleton is nearly planar [maximum deviation = 0.037?(1)?Å] and is oriented at a dihedral angle of 73.73?(5)° with respect to the benzene ring. An intra-molecular C-H?O hydrogen bond links a nitro O atom to the carbazole skeleton. In the crystal, inter-molecular C-H?O hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules into a three-dimensional network. ?-? contacts between inversion-related benzene rings [centroid-centroid distance = 3.7828?(8)?Å] and two weak C-H?? inter-actions may also stabilize the structure.

Project description:In the title compound, C25H15ClN2O6S, the carbazole ring system is essentially planar, with a maximum deviation of 0.152?(3)?Å for the C atom to which the 4-chloro-2-nitro-phenyl ring is attached. Its mean plane is almost orthogonal to the phenyl-sulfonyl and nitro-phenyl rings, making dihedral angles of 82.64?(14) and 79.89?(13)°, respectively. The N atom of the nitro group deviates by 0.032?(3)?Å from the benzene ring to which it is attached. Project description:In the sterically hindered title compound, C26H17ClN2O6S, the carbazole ring has a maximum deviation from planarity of 0.067 (4) Å for the C atom connected to the aldehyde group. The carbazole moiety forms a dihedral angle of 72.8 (1)° with the nitro-substituted benzene ring. The O atom of the meth-oxy group deviates by 0.186 (1) Å from the adjacent carbazole moiety. The phenyl-sulfonyl group forms intra-molecular C-H⋯O bonds between sulfone O atoms and the carbazole moiety, resulting in two S(6) rings. In the crystal, the nitrated benzene rings are linked via C-H⋯O inter-actions forming infinite C(7) chains along [100]. The crystal packing is also characterized by C-H⋯π inter-actions, which result in inversion dimers.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C9H9ClN4, contains two mol-ecules. In the crystal, the mol-ecules are ordered in a chain-like fashion along the a axis, and form layers offset relative to the C plane by approximately 30°. This ordering does not, however, appear to be directed by classical hydrogen bonding.The allylic side chains of both independent mol-ecules are disordered, with occupancies of 0.870 (4) and 0.934 (3) for the major components. The disorder components represent two possible spatial orientations of the atoms around the C=C double bond.
