The ammonia-oxidizing microbial community colonizing clay tiles in flow channels changed in favor of ammonia-oxidizing bacteria during a 12-week incubation period even at originally high ratios of ammonia-oxidizing archaea to ammonia-oxidizing bacteria (AOB).
