ABSTRACT: The title Schiff base compound, C(15)H(16)N(2)O(2), was prepared by the condensation reaction of equimolar quanti-ties of 3-eth-oxy-salicyl-aldehyde with 2-amino-3-methyl-pyridine in methanol. The dihedral angle between the benzene ring and the pyridine ring is 2.6?(2)° and an intra-molecular O-H?N hydrogen bond generates an S(6) ring.
