Fas-associated protein with death domain (FADD) was originally reported as a proapoptotic adaptor molecule that mediates receptor-induced apoptosis. Recent studies have revealed a potential role of FADD in NF-κB activation, embryogenesis, and cell cycle regulation and proliferation.
