ABSTRACT: In the title salt, NH(4) (+)·C(4)H(3)N(2)O(2)S(-), the asymmetric unit comprises two half-occupied ammonium positions and a 4,6-dioxo-2-sulfanylidene-1,3-diazinan-5-ide anion. The anion shows C(2) as well as C(s) symmetry and is present in its diketonic tautomeric form. Intra-cyclic angles span a range from 116.64?(9)-124.67?(9)°. Inter-molecular N-H?O hydrogen bonds connect the cations and anions to form a three-dimensional network.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, Rb(+)·C(4)H(3)N(2)O(3) (-)·C(4)H(4)N(2)O(3)·H(2)O, consists of one rubidium cation, a barbituric acid mol-ecule, a barbiturate anion and one water mol-ecule. The rubidium ion has seven close-contact inter-actions with O atoms, with Rb⋯O distances ranging from 2.8594 (16) to 3.2641 (14) Å. These seven O atoms together with an eighth O atom at 3.492 (2) Å away from Rb form a distorted polyhedron with shape inter-mediate between an anti-prism and a dodeca-hedron. The Rb(+) ions connect layers built of organic components and water mol-ecules linked via N-H⋯O and O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds.

Project description:The title compound, C25H26Cl2FN3O4S, contains two bio-active moieties (thio-barbituric acid and fluoro-quinolone). In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked via C-H⋯O and C-H⋯F hydrogen bonds, forming two-dimensional slab-like networks lying parallel to the bc plane. The benzene ring substituted by F and Cl atoms and the 4-chloro-butyl group seem to be partly disordered, however attempts to model the disorder were unsuccessful.

Project description:1,3-Diethyl-2-thio-barbituric acid reacts with 2-anisaldehyde to form the Michael addition product 2-anisylbis(1,3-diethyl-2-thio-barbitur-5-yl)methanate, which crystallizes as the title pyridin-ium salt, C(5)H(6)N(+)·C(24)H(29)N(4)O(5)S(2) (-), when it reacts with the pyridine used to catalyse the reaction. There are two independent ion pairs in the crystal structure. The anion features a methine C atom connected to three six-membered rings; one of the rings carries a hydr-oxy group, which engages in hydrogen bonding with the carbonyl group belonging to another ring. The monoclinic unit cell emulates an ortho-rhom-bic unit cell, and is a twin with a minor twin component of 35%.

The cation and anion in the asymmetric unit are linked by N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds. There are also additional inter-molecular N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds and π-π stacking inter-actions between the phenyl rings of neighbouring anions with centroid-centroid distances of 4.0976 (13) Å.

Project description:The title compound, [U(NO(3))(2)O(2)(C(6)H(12)N(2)O)(2)], exhibits a hexa-gonal-bipyramidal geometry around the U(VI) ion, which is situated on an inversion centre and coordinated by two oxide ligands in the axial positions, and four O atoms from two bidentate NO(3) (-) and two O atoms from two 1,3-dimethyl-1,3-diazinan-2-one (DMPU) ligands in the equatorial plane. Project description:In the title compound, C(13)H(11)N(3)O(4), the dioxane ring adopts an envelope conformation with the C atom bonded to the dimethyl group in the flap position [deviation = 0.613 (1) Å]. The nitrile group and the attached benzene ring are roughly coplanar [maximum deviation = 0.087 (1) Å]. An intra-molecular N-H⋯O hydrogen bond involving the hydrazinyl group generates an S(6) ring. The N-N and C-N bond lengths indicate that the compound may be a mixture of the azo and hydrazone tautomeric forms but the presence of the N-bound H atom supports the hydrazone form. The crystal structure is stabilized by weak inter-molecular C-H⋯O, C-H⋯N and C-H⋯π inter-actions.

Project description:In the title coordination polymer, [Zr(C8H2O6)(C6H12N2O)2] n , the Zr(IV) atom, which lies on a crystallographic twofold rotation axis, is coordinated by two O,O'-bidentate 2,5-dioxidoterephthalate (DHTP(4-)) ligands and two O-bonded 1,3-dimethyl-1,3-diazinan-2-one (DMPU) ligands (the latter in a cis orientation) in a distorted ZrO6 octa-hedral geometry. The deprotonated hy-droxy and carb-oxy O atoms of the DHTP(4-) ligand chelate the Zr(IV) ion via a six-membered ring; the dihedral angle between the carboxyl-ate group and the aromatic ring is 19.94?(11)°. The DHTP(4-) ligand is completed by crystallographic inversion symmetry and coordinates to two Zr(IV) atoms, thereby forming polymeric zigzag chains propagating in the c-axis direction.

2,6-Bis(2-methyl-1,3-diazinan-2-yl)pyridine.

Project description:The title compound, C(15)H(25)N(5), is an aminalization product between 2,6-diacetyl-pyridine and 1,3-diamino-propane. It crystallizes with two independent mol-ecules in the asymmetric unit with different conformations. In the first mol-ecule, the methyl groups are cis oriented with respect to the pyridine ring [N-C-C-C torsion angles = 72.5?(1) and 80.3?(1)°], while they are trans oriented in the second mol-ecule [N-C-C-C torsion angles = 82.6?(1) and -90.8?(1)°]. Each of the two mol-ecules forms centrosymmetric dimers held together by N-H?N hydrogen bonds, thus forming R(2) (2)(16) rings. The two dimers are inter-linked by additional N-H?N bonds into R(4) (4)(14) rings, building chains along the a axis. These patterns influence the orientation (either equatorial or axial) of the N-H bonds.
