The mononuclear mol-ecule inter-acts with the solvent water mol-ecules to generate a three-dimensional hydrogen-bonded network.

The polymeric chains that run along the a axis inter-act with the lattice water mol-ecules, generating a three-dimensional hydrogen-bonded network. The formate ion is disordered over two positions with respect to the non-coordinated atoms in a 1:1 ratio.

Project description:In the title heterometallic complex, {[Er(C(2)O(4))(H(2)O)(4)][CuBr(C(5)H(3)N(2)O(2))(2)]·4H(2)O}(n), the Er(III) atom is eight-coordin-ated by four O atoms from two centrosymmetric oxalate ligands and four water mol-ecules, displaying a bicapped trigonal-prismatic geometry. The oxalate ligands bridge the Er atoms into a polymeric cationic chain along [110]. The Cu(II) atom is five-coordinated in a square-pyramidal geometry by two pyrazine-2-carboxyl-ate ligands and a Br atom, forming a discrete anion. The polymeric cations, complex anions and uncoordinated water mol-ecules are self-assembled into a three-dimensional supra-molecular network through O-H?N, O-H?O and O-H?Br hydrogen bonds.

Project description:In the title terbium coordination polymer, {[Tb(2)(C(6)H(8)O(4))(3)(H(2)O)(4)]·0.25H(2)O}(n), the Tb(III) atom is nine-coordinated, forming a TbO(9) polyhedra. Furthermore, two symmetric TbO(9) polyhedra share their edges, forming Tb(2)O(16) dimers, which are linked by adipate bridges into a layered structure. Inter-molecular O-H?O hydrogen bonds link these layers into a three-dimensional network. One of the C atoms of the adipate ligand is disordered over two positions with site-occupancy factors of 0.622?(9) and 0.378?(9). The structure also contains a disordered mol-ecule of water of hydration, lying close to a special position, with partial occupancy.

Project description:The title three-dimensional coordination network, {[Er(C(4)H(4)N(2)O(2))(4)](ClO(4))(3)}(n), is isostructural to that of other lanthanides. The Er(+3 )cation lies on a fourfold roto-inversion axis. It is coordinated in a distorted square-anti-prismatic fashion by eight O atoms from bridging pyrazine N,N'-dioxide ligands. There are two unique pyrazine N,N'-dioxide ligands. One ring is located around an inversion center, and there is a a twofold rotation axis at the center of the other ring. There are also two unique perchlorate anions. One is centered on a twofold rotation axis and the other on a fourfold roto-inversion axis. The perchlorate anions are located in channels that run perpendicular to (001) and (110) and inter-act with the coordination network through C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds.

The oxalate ion serves as a bis-bidentate chelate that links adjacent metal atoms to form a chain parallel to [001]. The two bridging ions give rise to a layer motif parallel to (100) in which the La(III) atom exists in a distorted tricapped trigonal prismatic geometry. Extensive hydrogen bonding between the constituents stabilizes the structure.

The Yb(III) atom is eight-coordinated, in a bicapped trigonal prismatic coordination geometry, by six O atoms from three imidazole-4,5-dicarboxyl-ate ligands and two coordinating water mol-ecules. The two-coordinated Ag(I) ions exhibit three types of coordination environments. One Ag(I) atom is bonded to two N atoms from two different imidazole-4,5-dicarboxyl-ate ligands. The other two Ag(I) atoms are each coordinated by one O atom and one N atom from two different imidazole-4,5-dicarboxyl-ate ligands. These metal coordination units are connected by bridging imidazole-4,5-dicarboxyl-ate ligands, generating a two-dimensional heterometallic layer. These layers are stacked along the a axis via O-H?O hydrogen-bonding inter-actions to generate a three-dimensional framework.
