Pairs of inter-molecular N-H?O hydrogen bonds link neighboring mol-ecules into dimers, generating R(2) (2)(8) ring motifs. These dimers are further linked into two-dimensional arrays parallel to the bc plane by inter-molecular N-H?O hydrogen bonds. The crystal structure is further stabilized by C-H?? inter-actions.

Project description:In the title compound, C(8)H(13)N(2)O(2) (+)·Cl(-)·H(2)O, the methyl C atom of the ethyl group is slightly out of the imidazole plane, with an N-C(ring)-C-C torsion angle of -15.1 (2)°. In the crystal structure, there are strong inter-molecular hydrogen-bonding inter-actions between the solvent water mol-ecule, the free chloride anion and the organic cation, resulting in a two-dimensional supra-molecular network in the ab plane.

Project description:In the anion of the title compound, (C6H11N2)[B5O6(OH)4], both six-membered borate rings adopt a flattened boat conformation with the spiro-B atom and its opposite O atom deviating from the remainders of the rings by 0.261 (3)/0.101 (2) and 0.160 (3)/0.109 (2) Å, respectively. The imidazolium cation also deviates from planarity due to rotation of the ethyl group (as indicated by the C-N-C-C torsion angle) by 71.4 (2)° out of the plane of the heterocycle. In the crystal, the anions are connected in a three-dimensional network through O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming channels along the a-axis direction. The cations are situated in the channels, forming C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds with the anions.

Project description:In the cation of the title salt, C3H6N3 (+)·C4H5O4 (-), the protonated pyrazolium ring is planar (r.m.s. deviation = 0.012 Å). An intra-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bond occurs in the anion. In the crystal, N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds and a weak C-H⋯O inter-action between the cations and anions form two sets of R 2 (2)(8) graph-set ring motifs. Inter-molecular O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds between these lead to a criss-cross pattern along the b axis. In addition to the classical hydrogen bonds, a weak C-H⋯π(pyrazolium) inter-action is observed and contributes to crystal packing. All of these inter-actions link the mol-ecules into a two-dimensional supra-molecular framework parallel to (10-1).

Project description:The title compound, 2C14H14N4O·H2O, comprises a neutral mol-ecule containing a central pyrazol-3-one ring flanked by an N-bound phenyl group and a C-bound 5-methyl-1H-pyrazol-3-yl group (at positions adjacent to the carbonyl substituent), its zwitterionic tautomer, whereby the N-bound proton of the central ring is now resident on the pendant ring, and a water mol-ecule of crystallization. Besides systematic variations in geometric parameters, the two independent organic mol-ecules have broadly similar conformations, as seen in the dihedral angle between the five-membered rings [9.72 (9)° for the neutral mol-ecule and 3.32 (9)° for the zwitterionic tautomer] and in the dihedral angles between the central and pendant five-membered rings [28.19 (8) and 20.96 (8)° (neutral mol-ecule); 11.33 (9) and 11.81 (9)°]. In the crystal, pyrazolyl-N-H⋯O(carbon-yl) and pyrazolium-N-H⋯N(pyrazol-yl) hydrogen bonds between the independent organic mol-ecules give rise to non-symmetric nine-membered {⋯HNNH⋯NC3O} and {⋯HNN⋯HNC3O} synthons, which differ in the positions of the N-bound H atoms. These aggregates are connected into a supra-molecular layer in the bc plane by water-O-H⋯N(pyrazolide), water-O-H⋯O(carbon-yl) and pyrazolyl-N-H⋯O(water) hydrogen bonding. The layers are linked into a three-dimensional architecture by methyl-C-H⋯π(phen-yl) inter-actions. The different inter-actions, in particular the weaker contacts, formed by the organic mol-ecules are clearly evident in the calculated Hirshfeld surfaces, and the calculated electrostatic potentials differentiate the tautomers.

The pyrazole ring is oriented at 10.59?(4) and 57.98?(5)° to the phenyl and furyl rings, respectively, and the dihedral angle between phenyl and furyl rings is 73.30?(11)°. An intra-molecular N-H?O hydrogen bond occurs between imino and carbonyl groups. In the crystal, weak C-H?O hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules into supra-molecular chains along the b axis.
