ABSTRACT: In the title compound, C(8)H(20)N(+)·C(20)H(15)O(4) (-), the benzoate anions are connected by multiple inter-molecular O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming columns propagating along [1[Formula: see text]0]. The hydrogen bonding can be described by two rings with R(2) (2)(22) and R(4) (2)(28) motifs. In the crystal, the tetra-ethyl-ammonium cations are situated between these columns and are linked to them via C-H⋯O inter-actions.

Project description:In the title compound, C(8)H(20)N(+)·C(7)H(5)O(3) (-)·H(2)O, the carboxyl-ate group is slightly out of the plane of the parent benzene ring, the C-C-C-O torsion angles being 2.3?(2) and 2.0?(2)°. The carboxyl-ate group and the hy-droxy group form O-H?O hydrogen bonds, generating a head-to-tail chain along the b axis. Neighbouring hydrogen-bonded chains are linked by the water mol-ecule, generating two independent O-H?O donor hydrogen bonds. The carboxyl-ate group thus constructs a hydrogen-bonded host layer parallel to (10[Formula: see text]). The tetra-ethyl-ammonium cation is contained between these layers, forming a sandwich-like structure with an approximate inter-layer distance of 10.03?Å.

Project description:The title compound, C16H26NO2 (+)·C7H5O2 (-), is a benzoate salt of the painkiller Tramadol. The six-membered cyclo-hexane ring of the cation adopts a slightly distorted chair conformation and carries OH and 3-meth-oxy-phenyl substituents at the 2-position and a protonated methyl-aza-niumylmethyl group at the 3-position. In addition, a weak intra-molecular C-H?O hydrogen bond is observed in the cation. In the crystal, weak O-H?O, N-H?O and C-H?O hydrogen bonds link the components into chains along [010]. A C-H?? contact is also observed.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, 2C13H14N2O3·C3H10NO3 (+)·Cl(-), contains two independent mol-ecules (A and B) of the title pyrimidine derivative and one ion-pair of tris-(hy-droxy-meth-yl)ammonium chloride. The pyrimidine ring in each pyrimidine derivative has a half-chair conformation. Its mean plane is inclined to the benzene ring by 87.2?(3)° in mol-ecule A and 85.7?(2)° in mol-ecule B. In the crystal, the pyrimidine derivatives are connected to each other by N-H?O hydrogen bonds, forming chains propagating along the b-axis direction. The chains are linked via O-H-Cl hydrogen bonds, forming corrugated sheets lying parallel to the bc plane. The sheets are linked via C-H?O hydrogen bonds, forming a three-dimensional framework. The tris-(hy-droxy-meth-yl)ammonium chloride mol-ecules are located in the cages of the framework. There are also further C-H?O hydrogen bonds and C-H?? inter-actions present in the three-dimensional framework structure. Both the cation and chloride anion of the tris-(hy-droxy-meth-yl)ammonium chloride ion pair are disordered over two positions, with a refined occupancy ratio of 0.418?(8):0.582?(8) for the cation and 0.71?(4):0.29?(4) for the anion.

Project description:The title compound, 2C(21)H(19)N(3)O(2)·H(2)O, was synthesized by a Schiff base condensation of 2,6-diformyl-pyridine with 2-amino-4-methyl-phenol in ethanol. In the crystal, two mol-ecules of 2,6-bis-[(2-hy-droxy-5-methyl-phen-yl)imino-meth-yl]pyridine dimer-ize via hydrogen bonding to a water mol-ecule, which lies on a twofold axis. There are also intra-molecular phenol-imine hydrogen bonds. The dimers are further linked via π-π (phen-yl-pyridine) [centroid-centroid distance = 3.707 (2) Å] and π-π edge-to-edge [3.392 (2) Å] inter-actions. The dihedral angles between the central ring and the two pendant rings are 11.46 (8) and 2.06 (8)° while the pendant rings make a dihedral angle of 10.14 (8)°.

In the crystal, helical chains are formed by O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, propagating along [010]. The crystal structure is further stabilized by π-π inter-actions between inversion-related HBDL benzene rings [centroid-centroid distance = 3.900 (4) Å] and C-H⋯O inter-actions.
