ABSTRACT: The title compound, C(30)H(42)N(4), is an aryl-ated tris-(amino-eth-yl)amine derivative which was obtained by reducing the corresponding tris-amide with AlH(3). The asymmetric unit consists of one third of a C(3v)-symmetric mol-ecule with the tertiary N atom lying on a crystallographic threefold axis.

Project description:The title compound, C(21)H(24)N(4)S(3), is a tripodal Schiff base that was obtained from the reaction of tris-(2-amino-eth-yl)amine (tren) and thio-phene-3-carbaldehyde. The compound forms a cavity with approximate C3 symmetry. One of the thio-phene units is disordered in a 0.764 (2):0.236 (2) ratio. In the crystal, the three thio-phene ligands are involved in intra-molecular C-H⋯π inter-actions and the mol-ecules are connected by C-H⋯N inter-actions, forming hydrogen-bonded chains.

Project description:In the title compound, C(15)H(14)N(4), the pyrido[2,3-d]pyrimidine system is almost ideally planar (r.m.s. deviation 0.028?Å) with its mean plane almost orthogonal to the 2,6-dimethyl-phenyl plane. The dihedral angle formed by these planes [87.3?(2)°] is close to the predicted value (89.7°) obtained by mol-ecular-mechanics force-field calculations. Only one of the two active amine H atoms participates in hydrogen bonding, which links mol-ecules into centrosymmetric dimers.

Project description:In the title hydrated molecular salt, C(12)H(19)N(2)Se(+)·Br(-)·H(2)O, the two independent bromide anions lie on a twofold rotation axis. Strong intra-molecular N→Se inter-actions [2.185 (3) and 2.181 (3) Å] are established by both N atoms of the organic group in the cation, in trans positions to each other, with an N-Se-N angle of 161.6 (1)°, resulting in a T-shaped (C,N,N')Se core. The planes of the quinoline system and the phenyl ring subtend a dihedral angle of 78.08?(8)°. In the crystal, pairs of mol-ecules are connected via a center of symmetry and linked by a pair of angular N-H?O hydrogen bond. These dimers form columns oriented along the c axis.
