ABSTRACT: In the title compound, C(17)H(12)N(2), the inter-planar angle between the indole mean plane [max.deviation 0.030?(1)?Å] and the phenyl ring is 24.32?(7)°. In the crystal, inter-molecular N-H?N C hydrogen bonds form zigzag chains in the a-axis direction augmented by weak C-H?N C contacts.
