ABSTRACT: The title compound, [Zn(C(19)H(21)N(2))(2)], appears to be the first example of a zinc complex supported by two ?-diketiminate (nacnac) ligands. This complex crystallizes with a distorted tetra-hedrally coordinated Zn(II) atom that diposes the two nacnac ligands approximately orthogonally to one another [angle between the two N-Zn-N mean planes is 89.91?(10)°], with average Zn-N bond lengths of 1.992?(4)?Å.

Project description:The title enamino-ketone, C(12)H(15)NO, is a derivative of 4-(phenyl-amino)-pent-3-en-2-one with an approximately planar pentenone backbone, the greatest displacement from the plane being 0.042 (1) Å; the asymmetry in C-C distances in the group suggests the presence of unsaturated bonds. The dihedral angle between the benzene ring and the pentenone plane is 29.90 (4)°. In the crystal, an intra-molecular N-H⋯O inter-action and an inter-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bond are observed.

Project description:The title compound, 2C(21)H(19)N(3)O(2)·H(2)O, was synthesized by a Schiff base condensation of 2,6-diformyl-pyridine with 2-amino-4-methyl-phenol in ethanol. In the crystal, two mol-ecules of 2,6-bis-[(2-hy-droxy-5-methyl-phen-yl)imino-meth-yl]pyridine dimer-ize via hydrogen bonding to a water mol-ecule, which lies on a twofold axis. There are also intra-molecular phenol-imine hydrogen bonds. The dimers are further linked via π-π (phen-yl-pyridine) [centroid-centroid distance = 3.707 (2) Å] and π-π edge-to-edge [3.392 (2) Å] inter-actions. The dihedral angles between the central ring and the two pendant rings are 11.46 (8) and 2.06 (8)° while the pendant rings make a dihedral angle of 10.14 (8)°.

Project description:In the title compound, C(22)H(19)NO, the 2,3-dimethyl-anilinic group is planar with an r.m.s. deviation of 0.0226?Å. The phenyl rings with the carbonyl and imine substituents are also planar with r.m.s. deviations of 0.0019 and 0.0048?Å, respectively. These phenyl rings are oriented at dihedral angles of 74.70?(5) and 79.43?(5)°, respectively, with the 2,3-dimethyl-anilinic group, whereas the dihedral angle between them is 88.28?(4)°. Weak intra-molecular C-H?N hydrogen bonding occurs and completes an S(5) ring motif in the mol-ecule. Project description:The title compound, C(19)H(18)O, crystallizes in a non-centrosymmetric space group although the mol-ecule has no chiral centre. The dihedral angle between the aromatic rings is 20.43 (13)°. The structure is stabilized by two intra-molecular hydrogen bonds, and by four π-π and three C-H⋯π inter-actions between the aromatic rings. The perpendicular distances between the centroids of the rings involved in the π-π inter-actions have values of 1.996, 2.061, 2.181 and 2.189 Å.
