Project description:The title compound, C(13)H(10)N(2)O(4), was synthesized as an inter-mediate for the preparation of ureas. The two aromatic rings are twisted about the central carbamate group with a C-C-N-C torsion angle of 139.6 (2)° and a C-C-O-C torsion angle of 95.9 (2)°. The mol-ecules are linked into one-dimensional chains by N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds along the b axis. Weak inter-actions between O atoms of the nitro groups (O⋯O = 3.012 Å) connect two adjacent chains.

Project description:The title compound, C(17)H(13)ClO(2), was obtained from the oxidation of 6-chloro-4-(2-phenyl-ethen-yl)chroman-2-ol, which was synthesized by the reaction of of (E)-3-(5-chloro-2-hy-droxy-phen-yl)acryl-aldehyde with styrylboronic acid using diethyl-amine as a catalyst. The six-membered pyran-one ring of the chromane system has a screw-boat conformation. The dihedral angle between the least-squares planes of the chromane ring system and the styryl group is 85.28?(9)°.

Project description:In the title compound, C(13)H(9)ClN(2)O(3), an intra-molecular hydrogen bond between the carbonyl O and an amine H atom from the 2-amino-benzoyl group stabilizes the mol-ecule, keeping these two groups nearly in the same plane [dihedral angle 14.6?(6)°]. The dihedral angle between the mean planes of the planar 2-amino-benzoyl and 2-chloro-benzoyl groups is 73.8?(6)°. The crystal packing is stabilized by a collection of inter-mediate hydrogen-bonding inter-actions which forms an infinite N-H?O?H-N-H?O hydrogen-bonded chain along the c axis in concert with weak N-H?Cl inter-actions in the same direction, producing a two-dimensional inter-molecular bonding network parallel to (001). Additional weak C-Cl?Cg [Cl?Cg = 3.858?(3)?Å] and N-O?Cg [O?Cg = 3.574?(1) and 3.868?(6)?Å] ?-ring inter-actions provide added support to the crystal stability. A MOPAC computational calculation gives support to these observations.

Project description:In the title formyl nitro aryl benzoate derivative, C15H10N2O7, the benzene rings form a dihedral angle of 4.96?(3)°. The mean plane of the central ester group, C-O-C-(=O)-C (r.m.s. deviation = 0.0484?Å), is twisted away from the formyl nitro aryl and benzoate rings by 46.61?(5) and 49.93?(5)°, respectively. In the crystal, the mol-ecules are packed forming C-H?O inter-actions in chains which propagate along [010]. Edge-fused R (3) 3(15) rings are generated along this direction.

Project description:The title compound, C(8)H(14)N(2) (2+)·C(12)H(8)N(2)O(8)P(-)·ClO(4) (-), was formed by the reaction of α,α-bis-m-xylenediamine and sodium bis-p-nitro-phenyl-phosphate in the presence of Zn(ClO(4))·6H(2)O in methanol solution. The two amine groups of the m-xylenediammonium ion are each protonated and each hydrogen-bonded to two O atoms of the phosphate anion, which acts as a 1,3-bridge. The ammonium groups are arranged matched face to face and each pair is doubly bridged by two perchlorate ions through hydrogen bonding. In addition, there are also weak C-H⋯O inter-actions. Both the N-H⋯O and C-H⋯O inter-actions are contained in a channel down the a axis. The perchlorate oxygen atoms are disordered over two positions with site occupancy factors of ca 0.7 and 0.3.
