Project description:In the polymeric complex of the title compound, {[AgNi(C(5)H(3)N(2)O(2))(2)(H(2)O)(2)]NO(3)·2H(2)O}(n), the Ag(I) ion displays an angular coordination geometry with two N atoms from pyrazine-2-carboxyl-ate ligands, and the Ni(II) ion is hexa-coordinated by two O atoms from two water mol-ecules, two O and two N atoms from pyrazine-2-carboxyl-ate ligands in a distorted octa-hedral geometry. In the crystal, the Ag(I) and Ni(II) ions lie on a mirror plane and an inversion centre, respectively. The complex chains, the nitrate ions and the uncoordinated water mol-ecules are linked together through O-H?O hydrogen bonds and weak Ag?O inter-actions [2.619?(17)-2.749?(17)?Å] into a three-dimensional network.

The two remaining coordination sites are occupied by two water mol-ecules. In addition, there are two uncoordinated water mol-ecules in the asymmetric unit. The crystal structure is stabilized by a network of O-H?O and O-H?N hydrogen-bonding inter-actions, forming a three-dimensional structure.

In the crystal structure, inter-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules into centrosymmetric dimers.

The N atoms are cis to each other, while the water O atoms and ligand O atoms are mutually trans. The crystal structure is stabilized by a network of O-H?O, O-H?N and C-H?O hydrogen bonds and ?-? stacking inter-actions [centroid-centroid distances = 3.730?(3) and 3.652?(3)?Å] between the 5-methyl-pyrazine-2-carboxyl-ate ligands. Project description:The title six-coordinated distorted octa-hedral complex, [Cu(C(6)H(3)N(2)O(4))(2)(C(10)H(8)N(2))]·2H(2)O, consists of two 3-carboxy-pyrazine-2-carboxyl-ate anions and one 2,2'-bipyridine ligand. There is a twofold rotation axis positioned at the Cu(II) center. The N atoms of the pyrazine ring occupy the axial positions and two proton-transferred O atoms of tbe acid together with the two N atoms of the 2,2'-bipyridine ligand complete the equatorial plane. The inter-actions existing in the crystal structure are inter-molecular O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, and C-H⋯O and C-O⋯π inter-actions (O⋯π =3.145 Å, C-O⋯π = 149.75°).
