ABSTRACT: In the title compound, C(34)H(18)Cl(2)F(6)O(6), one terminal trifluoro-methyl and one entire 2-chloro-4-(trifluoro-meth-yl)phenyl group are disordered with refined occupancy ratios of 0.715?(11):0.285?(11) and 0.517?(5):0.429?(5), respectively. In the crystal, weak inter-molecular C-H?O hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules into ribbons propagating along the a-axis direction.

Project description:The title salt, [Co(C8H4F3O3)(C12H8N2)(H2O)3](C8H4F3O3), was obtained under solvothermal conditions by the reaction of 2,4,5-tri-fluoro-3-meth-oxy-benzoic acid with CoCl2 in the presence of 1,10-phenanthroline (phen). The Co(II) ion is octa-hedrally coordinated by two N atoms [Co-N = 2.165?(2) and 2.129?(2)?Å] from the phen ligand, by one carboxyl-ate O atom [Co-O = 2.107?(1)?Å] and by three O atoms from water mol-ecules [Co-O = 2.093?(1), 2.102?(1) and 2.114?(1)?Å]. The equatorial positions of the slightly distorted octa-hedron are occupied by the N atoms, the carboxyl-ate O and one water O atom. An intra- and inter-molecular O-H?O hydrogen-bonding network between the water-containing complex cation and the organic anion leads to the formation of ribbons parallel to [010].

Project description:The mol-ecular structure of the title compound, 2-CH(3)O-C(6)H(3)-1,3-[B(OH)(2)](2) or C(7)H(10)B(2)O(5), features two intra-molecular O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds of different strengths. One of the boronic acid groups is almost coplanar with the aromatic ring, whereas the second is significantly twisted. Mol-ecules are linked by inter-molecular O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, generating infinite chains cross-linked to form a two-dimensional sheet structure aligned parallel to the (01) plane.

Disorder was modeled over two sites for one F atom of the tri-fluoro-methyl group with an occupancy ratio of 0.54 (6):0.46 (6). In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked via weak C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming two-dimensional networks lying parallel to (101). The networks are linked via C-H⋯π inter-actions, leading to the formation of a three-dimensional supra-molecular structure.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C21H13ClFNO2S, contains two independent mol-ecules with similar conformations. In the mol-ecules, the thia-zole ring is essentially planar [maximum atomic deviations = 0.014 (4) and 0.023 (5) Å] and is oriented with respect to the fluoro-phenyl ring and chloro-phenyl rings at 9.96 (18) and 70.39 (18)° in one mol-ecule and at 7.50 (18) and 68.43 (18)° in the other; the dihedral angles between the fluoro-phenyl and chloro-phenyl rings are 64.9 (2) and 64.6 (2)°, respectively. Inter-molecular C-H⋯O and C-H⋯F hydrogen bonds stabilize the three-dimensional supra-molecular architecture. Weak C-H⋯π and π-π inter-actions [centroid-centroid distance = 3.877 (3) Å] lead to a criss-cross mol-ecular packing along the c axis.

The dihedral angles between the pyrimidine ring and the attached phenyl, meth-oxy-phenyl and tri-fluoro-methyl-phenyl rings are 8.1?(2), 37.5?(2) and 70.7?(2)°, respectively, in mol-ecule A, and 9.3?(2), 5.3?(2) and 79.7?(2)° in mol-ecule B. An intra-molecular N-H?N hydrogen bond occurs in each mol-ecule. In the crystal, two crystallographically independent mol-ecules associate into a dimer via a pair of N-H?N hydrogen bonds, with a resulting R 2 (2)(12) ring motif and ?-? stacking inter-actions [centroid-centroid distance = 3.517?(4)?Å] between the pyrimidine rings. For the A mol-ecules, there are inter-molecular C-H?O hydrogen bonds between an aryl C atom of meth-oxy-phenyl ring and a meth-oxy O atom of an adjacent mol-ecule. A similar inter-action is lacking in the B mol-ecules.
