1-[4-(4-Chloro-phen-yl)piperazin-1-yl]-3-(6-oxo-3,4-diphenyl-1,6-dihydro-pyridazin-1-yl)propan-1-one.

ABSTRACT: In the title compound, C(29)H(27)ClN(4)O(2), the six-membered ring of the pyridazine group is nearly planar [maximum deviation = -0.062?(2)?Å] and its mean plane makes dihedral angles of 43.05?(9), 44.71?(10) and 72.57?(9)°, respectively, with the two phenyl and benzene rings. The piperazine ring has a chair conformation and its mean plane is almost perpendicular to the attached benzene ring, with a dihedral angle of 83.20?(16)°. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked via two pairs of C-H?O inter-actions, which result in the formation of chains propagating along [10-1]. Neighbouring chains are linked via C-H?? inter-actions.

It was synthesized from 2,4,6,8-tetra-phenyl-3,7-diaza-bicyclo-[3.3.1]nonan-9-one and was crystallized from a methanol-ethanol solution over two years as a racemate. Project description:The title pyridazinone derivative, C21H19ClN2O3, is not planar. The unsubstituted phenyl ring and the pyridazine ring are inclined to each other, making a dihedral angle of 17.41 (13)° whereas the Cl-substituted phenyl ring is nearly orthogonal to the pyridazine ring [88.19 (13)°]. In the crystal, C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds generate dimers with R 2 2(10) and R 2 2(24) ring motifs which are linked by C-H⋯O inter-actions, forming chains extending parallel to the c-axis direction. The inter-molecular inter-actions were investigated using Hirshfeld surface analysis and two-dimensional fingerprint plots, revealing that the most significant contributions to the crystal packing are from H⋯H (44.5%), C⋯H/H⋯C (18.5%), H⋯O/H⋯O (15.6%), Cl⋯H/H⋯Cl (10.6%) and C⋯C (2.8%) contacts.

Project description:The title pyrimidine derivative, C(18)H(21)N(3)O(6), was obtained by the reaction of methyl 2-[2-(benzyl-oxycarbon-yl)amino-propan-2-yl]-5-hy-droxy-6-oxo-1,6-dihydro-pyrimidine-4-carboxyl-ate with dimethyl sulfate in dimethyl sulfoxide. The mol-ecule has a V-shaped structure, the phenyl and the pyrimidine rings making a dihedral angle of 43.1?(1)°. The methyl group substituting the pyrimidine ring deviates slightly from the ring mean-plane [C-N-C-C torsion angle = 5.49?(15)°], and the methyl ester substituent has a conformation suitable for the formation of an intra-molecular O-H?O hydrogen bond with the hydroxyl functionality. In the crystal, molecules are linked into chains along the b axis by N-H?O hydrogen bonds.

Project description:The title compound, [Pd(C(12)H(10)ClN(2)O(2))Cl(C(18)H(15)P)(2)], is the inter-mediate of the reduction of a 3,5-dichloro-pyrazinone [Loosen, Tutonda, Khorasani, Compernolle & Hoornaert (1991 ?). Tetra-hedron, 47, 9259-9268]. This species is formed by oxidative addition of coordinatively unsaturated Pd(0) to the reactive 3-position of the heterocycle. The coordination around the Pd atom is square planar, with two trans PPh(3) ligands. ?-? inter-actions are observed between the centroid of the pyrazinone ring and planes of two adjacent phenyl rings, one from each PPh(3) group (3.25 and 3.078?Å), stabilizing the inter-mediate structure. This could explain the reduced reactivity towards substitution of the Cl atom by the formate anion, resulting in poor yield of the reduced compound. 3-Substituted pyrazinones are important precursors in the synthesis of 5-amino-piperidinone-2-carboxyl-ate (APC) systems.
