ABSTRACT: In the title complex, {[Zn(NCS)(2)(C(15)H(15)N(9))(2)]·H(2)O}(n), the Zn(II) ion is located on an inversion centre and is six-coordinated in a distorted octa-hedral geometry, coordinated by N atoms from four bridging 1,3,5-tris-(1,2,4-triazol-1-ylmeth-yl)benzene (ttmb) ligands and two terminal SCN(-) counter-anions. Two of the three triazol groups in each ttmb ligand link the Zn(II) atoms, forming a looped-chain structure along [0-11]. The lattice water molecule shows half-occupancy due to disorder around an inversion centre.

Project description:In the title compound, C(12)H(12)N(6)·4H(2)O, the two triazole rings adopt a cis configuration with a crystallographic twofold axis passing through the central benzene group. The benzene and triazole rings are almost coplanar with a dihedral angle of 5.5?(1)°. In the crystal, water mol-ecules are joined together by OW-H?OW hydrogen bonds to form a one-dimensional zigzag chain. These water chains are further connected to the organic mol-ecule, forming a three-dimensional network by inter-molecular OW-H?N and N-H?OW hydrogen bonds. Moreover, ?-? stacking inter-actions between triazole rings [centroid-centroid distances = 3.667?(1)-3.731?(1)?Å] are observed. One of the water mol-ecules shows one of the H atoms to be disordered over two positions.

Project description:In the title compound, [Co(NCSe)(2)(C(9)H(7)N(7))(2)(H(2)O)(2)], the Co(2+) cation is coordinated by two seleno-cyanate anions, two 2,6-bis-(4H-1,2,4-triazol-4-yl)pyridine ligands and two water mol-ecules within a slightly distorted N(4)O(2) octa-hedron. The asymmetric unit consists of one Co(2+) cation, which is located on a center of inversion, as well as one seleno-cyanate anion, one 2,6-bis-(4H-1,2,4-triazol-4-yl)pyridine ligand and one water mol-ecule in general positions. Inter-molecular O-H?N hydrogen bonds join the complex mol-ecules into layers parallel to the bc plane. The layers are linked by C-H?N and C-H?Se hydrogen bonds into a three-dimensional supra-molecular architecture.

Project description:The title Cu(II) coordination polymer, {[Cu(C(7)H(10)N(6))(2)(H(2)O)(2)](NO(3))(2)·H(2)O}(n), was obtained by the reaction of equimolar Cu(NO(3))(2)·4H(2)O and 1,3-bis-(1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)propane (btp) in a water-methanol solvent. The Cu(II) atom is located on a centre of inversion and has an elongated octa-hedral coordination geometry formed by four N atoms from four symmetry-related btp ligands and two coordinated water mol-ecules. Adjacent Cu(II) atoms are connected by btp ligands, generating a double-stranded chain. The nitrate anion is disordered over two positions in a 0.828?(7):0.172?(2) ratio.

Project description:The title compound, 4C(9)H(6)O(6)·C(6)H(8)N(6)·2H(2)O, crystallizes in a layer structure where each sheet is composed of anellated hydrogen-bonded rings of six distinct sizes: R(2) (2)(16), R(3) (3)(18), R(4) (4)(12), R(4) (4)(18), R(4) (4)(22) and R(4) (4)(25). The two largest rings, viz. R(4) (4)(22) and R(4) (4)(25), are associated with O-H⋯N bonds from the carboxyl groups to the triazole rings. The typical head-to-tail carbox-yl-carboxyl R(2) (2)(8) motif is not observed.

Project description:In the crystal structure of the title 1:2 adduct, [Zn(2)(NCS)(4)(C(4)H(8)N(4))(2)]·2[Zn(NCS)(2)(C(4)H(8)N(4))(2)] or (Ia)·2(Ib), each Zn(II) atom is coordinated in a distorted tetra-hedral geometry by four N atoms from two triazole rings of two 4-amino-3,5-dimethyl-1,2,4-triazole (admt) ligands and two NCS(-) ligands. In (Ia), double N(1):N(2)-bridging admt ligands connect two Zn(II) atoms, forming a dimer with a Zn(2)(admt)(2) six-membered metallacycle located on a crystallographic inversion center. In (Ib), the admt ligands exhibit monodentate N(1)-coordination modes. Weak N-H?N, N-H?S and C-H?S hydrogen bonds play an important role in the inter-molecular packing. The S and C atoms of two thiocyanato ligands are disordered over two sets of sites in ratios of 0.57?(3):0.43?(3) and 0.63?(3):0.37?(3), respectively.

Project description:The title one-dimensional coordination polymer, {[Zn(NCS)(2)(C(24)H(20)N(6))(2)]·0.28H(2)O}(n), was obtained by the reaction of Zn(OAc)(2)·2H(2)O, KSCN and 1,2-bis-{[2-(2-pyrid-yl)-1H-imid-azol-1-yl]meth-yl}benzene (hereafter L). The Zn(II) ion shows a distorted octa-hedral coordination geometry and is coordin-ated by two N atoms from two SCN(-) anions and four N atoms from two organic ligands. The L ligands act as bridging bis-chelating ligands with cis coordination modes at the Zn(II) ion. One-dimensional coordination polymers are arranged into layers by ?-? stacking inter-actions between the imidazole rings of adjacent chains, with an inter-planar distance of 3.46?(1)?Å and centroid-centroid distances of 3.8775?(16)?Å. One of the thio-cyanate ligands is disordered over two positions with an occupancy factor of 0.564?(3) for the major component. The partially occupied water mol-ecule forms an O-H?S hydrogen bond with the disordered thio-cyanate group.
