ABSTRACT: There are two independent mol-ecules in the asymmetric unit of the title phen-oxy-ethanol derivative, C10H14O2, Each molecule has an approximately planar structure except for the hy-droxy groups (r.m.s. deviations = 0.0281 and 0.0144?Å). The ethyl-enedi-oxy groups have a gauche conformation. In the crystal, the mol-ecules form O-H?O hydrogen-bonded chains along the a axis.

Project description:In the title compound, C(23)H(20)NO(2) (+)·CF(3)SO(3) (-), the acridine ring system is oriented at a dihedral angle of 23.1 (1)° with respect to the benzene ring and the carboxyl group is twisted at an angle of 74.1 (1)° relative to the acridine skeleton. In the crystal, adjacent cations are linked through C-H⋯π inter-actions and neighboring cations and anions via weak C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds. The mean planes of adjacent acridine units are either parallel or inclined at angles of 15.0 (1), 26.9 (1) and 48.1 (1)° in the crystal structure.

Project description:In the title compound, C34H30O12P2, which was synthesized via the esterification of dimethyl 2,5-dioxo-1,4-cyclo-hexa-nedi-carboxyl-ate with diphenyl chloro-phosphate, the mol-ecule has crystallographic inversion symmetry. The dihedral angles between the plane of the cyclo-hexa-1,4-diene ring and those of the two benzene rings of the substituent phosphate groups are 41.0 (1) and 89.5 (1)°, while that with the ester group is 3.1 (3)°. In the crystal, only weak inter-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds are present.

Project description:In the title compound, C(12)H(15)NO(3)·H(2)O, the conformation of the N-H bond in the amide segment is syn to the ortho-methyl group and anti to the meta-methyl group in the benzene ring. Further, the conformations of the amide O and the carbonyl O atom of the acid segment are anti to the adjacent methyl-ene H atoms. The C=O and O-H bonds of the acid group are syn to one another. The structure shows an inter-esting hydrogen-bonding pattern with the water mol-ecule forming hydrogen bonds with three different mol-ecules of the compound. In the crystal, mol-ecules are packed into infinite chains through inter-molecular O-H?O and N-H?O hydrogen bonds.
