An aquatic host-guest complex between a supramolecular G-quadruplex and the anticancer drug doxorubicin.


ABSTRACT: We describe the synthesis of a fluorescent deoxyguanosine derivative that co-assembles (in water) with an unlabeled analogue into a heteromeric supramolecular G-quadruplex, which forms a host-guest complex with doxorubicin as evidenced by FRET experiments.
