ABSTRACT: The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C19H19NOS, contains two independent mol-ecules (A and B), in both of which the 1,3-thia-zepan-4-one ring adopts a chair-type conformation. The dihedral angles between the two phenyl rings are 65.28?(8) and 60.31?(9)° for mol-ecules A and B, respectively. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked by weak C-H?O inter-actions, resulting in a three-dimensional network.
