Intra-molecular N-H⋯O hydrogen bonding generates an S(6) ring motif and the dihedral angle between the mean plane though the S(6) ring and that through the five-atom half-boat plane is 3.39 (2)°. In the crystal, weak inter-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds link mol-ecules into zigzag chains along [001] due to c-glide symmetry, and C-H⋯π inter-actions extend along [010].

Project description:In the title 1-oxo-1,2-di-hydro-naphthalene derivatives, C28H24O6, (I), C34H22O5S, (II), and C27H20O3S2, (III), the cyclo-hexa-1,3-diene rings of the 1,2-di-hydro-naphthalene ring systems adopt half-chair, boat and half-chair conformations, respectively. The carbonyl O atoms attached to the di-hydro-naphthalene ring systems are each significantly deviated from the mean plane of the 1,2-di-hydro-naphthalene ring system, by 0.6162 (12) Å in (I), 0.6016 (16) Å in (II) and 0.515 (3) Å in (III). The mean planes of the 1,2-di-hydro-naphthalene ring systems make dihedral angles of 85.83 (3), 88.19 (3) and 81.67 (8)°, respectively, with the methyl-phenyl ring in (I), the pyrene ring in (II) and the phenyl ring in (III). In (I), the mol-ecular structure is stabilized by an intra-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bond, generating an S(6) ring motif. In the crystal of (I), mol-ecules are linked by an inter-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bond, which generates a C(8) zigzag chain running along [100]. Adjacent chains are further connected by C-H⋯π and offset π-π inter-actions [centroid-centroid distance = 3.6572 (9) Å], forming a double-chain structure. In the crystals of (II) and (III), mol-ecules are linked into chain structures by offset π-π inter-actions with centroid-centroid distances of 3.5349 (12) and 3.8845 (13) Å for (II) and 3.588 (2) Å for (III). In (II) and (III), the thio-phene rings are orientationally disordered over two sites, with occupancy ratios of 0.69:0.31 for (II), and 0.528 (4):0.472 (4) and 0.632 (5):0.368 (5) for (III).

Project description:In the title quinoline derivative, C24H19NO3, the two benzyl rings are inclined to the quinoline ring mean plane by 74.09?(8) and 89.43?(7)°, and to each other by 63.97?(10)°. The carboxyl-ate group is twisted from the quinoline ring mean plane by 32.2?(2)°. There is a short intra-molecular C-H?O contact forming an S(6) ring motif. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked by bifurcated C-H,H?O hydrogen bonds, forming layers parallel to the ac plane. The layers are linked by C-H?? inter-actions, forming a supra-molecular three-dimensional structure.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C22H31NO3, comprises of one mol-ecule. The mol-ecule is not planar, with the carboxyl-ate ester group inclined by 33.47?(4)° to the heterocyclic ring. Individual mol-ecules are linked by aromaticC-H?Ocarbon-yl hydrogen bonds into chains running parallel to [001]. Slipped ?-? stacking inter-actions between quinoline moieties link these chains into layers extending parallel to (100). Hirshfeld surface analysis, two-dimensional fingerprint plots and mol-ecular electrostatic potential surfaces were used to qu-antify the inter-molecular inter-actions present in the crystal, indicating that the most important contributions for the crystal packing are from H?H (72%), O?H/H?O (14.5%) and C?H/H?C (5.6%) inter-actions.
