ABSTRACT: Let me get my nanoruler: Activatable probes based on radionuclide and quantum dots (QDs) were constructed using DNA as a linker. Cerenkov radiation from (64)Cu was used to excite the QDs in a distance-dependent manner. The luminescence was lowest nearest to the QD and increased with distance.
