Enzyme-instructed self-assembly of hydrogelators consisting of nucleobases, amino acids, and saccharide.

ABSTRACT: We report the first example of the use of enzymes to trigger the self-assembly of the conjugates of nucleobases, amino acids, and saccharide to form supramolecular hydrogels in water, which illustrates a facile approach for the development of a new class of multifunctional soft materials for biomedical applications.
