Four new isoflavanones from Tadehagi triquetrum

ABSTRACT: Four new isoflavanones with isoprenoid units, named triquetrumones E-H (1–4), were isolated from the whole plants of Tadehagi triquetrum. The structures were elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic analyses, including application of MS, UV, IR, 1D and 2D NMR spectroscopic techniques.

Project description:Four new triterpenoids which were identifed as 2?,3?,6?,19?-tetrahydroxy- oleanolic acid 28-O-?-D-glucopyranoside (1), 2-O-?-D-glucopyranosyloxy-3?,19?-di-hydroxyoleanolic acid (2), 2-O-?-D-glucopyranosyloxy-3?,19?-dihydroxyursolic acid (3), 2?,3?,6?,19?-tetrahydroxyursolic acid 28-O-?-D-glucopyranoside (4), were isolated from the aerial parts of Callicarpa kwangtungensis together with three known triterpenoids identified as 2?,3?,21?-trihydroxyursolic acid 28-O-?-D-glucopyranoside (5), 2?,3?,19?,23-tetrahydroxyoleanolic acid 28-O-?-D-glucopyranoside (6), 2?,3?,19?,23-tetrahydroxyursolic acid 28-O-?-D-glucopyranoside (7). Their structures were elucidated by the combination of mass spectrometry (MS), one and two-dimensional NMR experiments.

Four new synonyms and a new combination in Parnassia (Celastraceae).

Project description:Parnassia yunnanensis had been previously described based on mixed specimens containing materials partially belonging to Parnassia cacuminum, which makes the application of Parnassia yunnanensis ambiguous. Therefore, we lectotypified Parnassia yunnanensis and meanwhile synonymized Parnassia lanceolata var. oblongipetala under it. Parnassia yunnanensis var. longistipitata was found more similar to Parnassia cacuminum rather than Parnassia yunnanensis, thus a new combination, Parnassia cacuminum var. longistipitata comb. nov. was proposed. Furthermore, other three names (Parnassia vevusta, Parnassia degeensis and Parnassia kangdingensis) were reduced to synonyms of Parnassia cacuminum too.

Four new phenolic glycosides from Baoyuan decoction.

Project description:Four new phenolic glycosides, including two flavonoid glycosides (1 and 2) and two lignan glycosides (3 and 4), were isolated from the traditional Chinese medicine formula, Baoyuan decoction. Their structures were established by detailed analysis of the NMR and HR-ESI-MS spectroscopic data and their absolute configurations were determined by the experimental electronic circular dichroism data as well as chemical methods. Furthermore, the sources of the four new compounds were determined by the UPLC-Qtrap-MS method, which proved that 1 and 2 are originated from Glycyrrhiza uralensis, and 3 and 4 are from Cinnamomum cassia.

Four new indole alkaloids from Plantago asiatica

Project description:Graphical abstract Four new indole alkaloids, plasiaticines A-D (1–4), together with two known ones, were isolated from the seeds of Plantago asiatica. The structures of the new compounds were elucidated on the basis of comprehensive analysis of spectroscopic data. All compounds were tested for their cytotoxic activity, and all compounds except 4 were tested for their acetylcholinesterase (AChE) inhibitory activities. Project description:Megagrapha starki Barták & Grootaert, sp. nov. (Poland, Russia, Slovakia), Oedalea portugalica Barták & Grootaert, sp. nov. (Portugal), Hybos conicus Grootaert & Barták, sp. nov. (Greece, Turkey), and Platypalpus obscuroides Barták & Grootaert, sp. nov. (Slovakia) are described and illustrated. Diagnostic characters are discussed. The female of Syndyas merzi Shamshev & Grootaert, 2012 is described for the first time. New distributional records are presented: Megagrapha europaea Papp & Földvári, 2001 is first reported from Slovakia and Syndyas merzi Shamshev & Grootaert, 2012 is first reported from Turkey.

Four new diterpenoids from Isodon eriocalyx var. laxiflora

Project description:Four new diterpenoids, laxiflorins S-V (1–4), bearing four different types, and one known compound, laxiflorin O (5), were isolated from Isodon eriocalyx var. laxiflora. Compound 1 was the first example of ent-kauranoids bearing a unique C24 carbon framework and compound 4 was the first example of 3,4-seco-ent-abietane diterpenoids from the Isodon genus. Their structures were determined by spectroscopic methods (UV, IR, MS, NMR). Four New Records of Ascomycete Species from Korea.

Project description:While evaluating fungal diversity in freshwater, grasshopper feces, and soil collected at Dokdo Island in Korea, four fungal strains designated CNUFC-DDS14-1, CNUFC-GHD05-1, CNUFC-DDS47-1, and CNUFC-NDR5-2 were isolated. Based on combination studies using phylogenies and morphological characteristics, the isolates were confirmed as Ascodesmis sphaerospora, Chaetomella raphigera, Gibellulopsis nigrescens, and Myrmecridium schulzeri, respectively. This is the first records of these four species from Korea.
