Supramolecular nanofibrils inhibit cancer progression in vitro and in vivo.

ABSTRACT: Self-assembly of small peptide derivatives affords supramolecular nanofibrils that possess characteristic features of amyloid oligomers. Acting as de novo amyloid oligomers, the nanofibrils effectively inhibit the tumor progression both in vitro and in vivo, which demonstrates a new type of anticancer approach and may provide new insights for inverse comorbidity between cancer and neurodegenerative diseases.
