Catheter salvage in home infusion patients with central line-associated bloodstream infection.


ABSTRACT: In a retrospective study of home infusion patients with central line-associated bloodstream infection, use of a central venous port, cancer diagnosis, and absence of systemic inflammatory response syndrome were associated with use of catheter salvage. Relapse of infection was uncommon.
