ABSTRACT: We report draft genomes of Enterobacter cloacae strain S611, an endophytic bacterium isolated from surface-sterilized germinating wheat seeds. We present the assembly and annotation of its genome, which may provide insights into the metabolic pathways involved in adaptation.

Here, we report the completion of the genome sequence of E. cloacae ATCC 13047, the type strain of E. cloacae subsp. cloacae. Multiple sets of virulence determinant and heavy-metal resistance genes have been found in the genome. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first complete genome sequence of the E. cloacae species.

Here, we report its 5.1-Mb draft genome sequence, comprising 92 contigs with an average 55.74% G+C content. The genome contained 4,783 coding sequences and 68 tRNA genes.

Draft genome sequence data of a tigecycline-resistant Enterobacter cloacae ST93 clinical strain isolated from bloodstream infection.

Project description:Here we report data on the draft genome sequence of a tigecycline-resistant Enterobacter cloacae ST93 clinical isolate TREC1 producing KPC-2 carbapenemase from China. The draft genome sequence of E. cloacae TREC1 consisted of 74 contigs that comprised 5,322,835 bp, and the overall GC content of this strain amounted to 54.63%. In total, 57 tRNA genes, 5 rRNA operons and 5108 protein-coding sequences were identified in the genome. TREC1 belongs to sequence type ST93. Nineteen antimicrobial resistance genes were confirmed. Antimicrobial susceptibility testing revealed that besides colistin this isolate is resistant to all antibiotics including tigecycline. Project description:Here, we report the draft genome sequence and annotation of plant growth promoting rhizobacterium Enterobacter cloacae SBP-8 isolated from the rhizosphere of Sorghum bicolor L. growing in desert region of Rajasthan, India. From the genome sequences, we identified the genes encoding plant growth promoting properties such as 1-aminocyclopropane-1-carboxylate deaminase (AcdS), phosphate solubilisation, siderophore, and IAA (indole acetic acid) production. The genes encoding different functions required for colonization including motility, chemotaxis, adherence, and secretion system (I, II, IV, VI) were also identified. The complete genome sequence of this bacterium consists of one chromosome (48,54,065 bp) and one plasmid (85,398). The genome sequence of Enterobacter cloacae SBP-8 was deposited in the Genbank with the accession number CP016906 (chromosome) and CP017413 (plasmid).

The 5.07-kbp genome sequence of Enterobacter sp. strain OLF encodes metabolic pathways that allow the bacterium to partially supplement the diet of the olive fly when its dominant endosymbiont, Erwinia dacicola, is absent.
