Draft Genome Sequence of Lachancea lanzarotensis CBS 12615T, an Ascomycetous Yeast Isolated from Grapes.

ABSTRACT: We report the genome sequencing of the yeast Lachancea lanzarotensis CBS 12615(T). The assembly comprises 24 scaffolds, for a total size of 11.46 Mbp. The annotation revealed 5,058 putative protein-coding genes. Detection of seven centromeres supports a chromosome fusion, which occurred after divergence from Lachancea thermotolerans and Lachancea kluyveri.

Here, we first report the draft nuclear chromosome genome sequence and mitochondrial genome sequence of T. asahii CBS 2479, which is a standard strain of T. asahii that was isolated from a progressive psoriatic lesion. COG analysis predicted that 3,131 genes were assigned to 23 functional categories and that 628 genes were predicted to have a general function.
