ABSTRACT: Multicomponent Petasis reactions: the first diastereoselective Petasis reaction catalyzed by chiral biphenols that enables the synthesis of syn and anti ?-amino alcohols in pure form has been developed. The reaction exploits a multicomponent approach that involves boronates, ?-hydroxy aldehydes, and amines.
