MicroRNAs-from metastasis prediction to metastasis prevention?


ABSTRACT: Recently, we suggested the microRNA (miR) landscape defining metastasis. The first miR-driven network orchestrating invasion, intravasation, and metastasis was confirmed independently across several malignancies, suggesting a rather general principle for metastasis regulation. We hope that our data will stimulate the field in terms of further hypothesis generation, metastasis prediction, and metastasis prevention.
