Eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE) is a Th2 cytokine-associated disease characterized by eosinophil infiltration, epithelial cell hyperplasia, and tissue remodeling. Recent studies highlighted a major contribution for IL-13 in EoE pathogenesis.
